Its like a staircase waterfall, not too crowded, calm and relaxing. The hike is really easy. And you can reach till the nearby car, there is car parking available.

A beautiful set of waterfalls that powered a mill on the edge of Matlock. A nice, steep but easy, well maintained walk with ruins, pools and lush vegetation. An easy to access walk of around an 1 1/2 hours, we were glad we made the effort to go here after a week of hiking.

A really beautiful walk that wasn’t busy at all. It was really easy with minimal incline and anyone could to do it. I used a trail on all trails that I followed and saw some great views. 10/10 would recommend

A lovely hidden corner in the matlock area. Parking is difficult as there's not much of it and just enough people want to visit to fill it on a nice day. There's a small brewery you can visit for a rest and refreshments and perhaps a locally made beer or two to take home. The waterfalls are lovely and the mill ruins interesting to explore.

Beautiful Hidden Gem in the Peak District! Absolutely stunning walk with magical scenery. The Lumsdale Waterfall trail feels like stepping into a fairytale – peaceful, atmospheric, and full of history. The walk takes you past ruins of old mills and cascading waterfalls, all tucked away in a quiet, green valley. The path is fairly easy to follow, though there are a few steep and uneven spots – good footwear is a must, especially after rain. It’s not a long walk, but there’s plenty to take in and enjoy. Great for a peaceful nature escape, photography, or a short family adventure. Parking is limited nearby, and the area is privately owned in parts, so it’s important to stick to the marked public footpaths. Would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the Matlock area!

Nice but steep at time walk through some nice woodlands from the top of the valley next to the school where we parked down to the waterfalls. Some of the walk was closed off due to erosion and unsafe buildings, however you still can get to the waterfalls if you carry on the dirt road for a bit.

Quite nice waterfalls in a pretty place. Waterfalls are always worth a view, but there was more of an industrial look here rather than a natural fairytale look of other falls I've seen. The biggest drop has a nice natural look about it though and the stream. Hard to get a park here so plan ahead.

Amazing place to visit if you are agile enough to climb a wall, hop over a fence or squeeze between the temporary fencing around these wonderful buildings owned by The Arkwright Society and the associated cascading waterfalls. Not accessible for anyone without all of their abilities.

Such a lovely walk around this historic site. Not just the waterfall but the mill buildings too. Shame a few people can't appreciate it and still choose to litter but it's their loss. Seems that it shuts weekends and Bank Holidays so it can't be ruined so lucky we stumbled across it on a weekday. A few people around. Parked at the bottom in a free car park.
