Really wide array of Caribbean items, including kingfish slices. I travelled there to buy callaloo and pig tails, but they did not have any. Very pleasant and helpful staff

A great shop to get everything you could possibly need for your Caribbean cooking along with a whole lot more. Staff are really helpful & I can finally source goat for my one pot!

Service was great, the selection of Foodstuffs was extensive & decently priced. Very attentive staff member helped me to my car with my purchases (the Brother of the owner I believe) I highly recommend this shop. Stress free experience!!

Nasty, stale food - 3 years out of date - rude owner. Avoid this dirty shop. On more than one occasion when I've visited, the tubs, jars & packets of spices are more than 3 years out of date. Every shelf contains large supplies of outdated produce, not one, two, but THREE whole years out of date. On top of that, the owner seems to have had a personality bypass and is grumpy and rude to customers. Even when they are asking him when a certain product will be back in stock, he shrugs and says sarcastically, "How would I know?" I have heard him being rude and sarcastic to many customers and even when one customer told him they thought his manner was rude, he said something insultive back to them instead of apologising. There are a great many ethnic food stores in Huddersfield who sell exactly the same foods and spices he does, not just at a cheaper price, but with proper date lifes. Asian stores and that new Mena food store near Dominoes, sell a good supply of spices and I shall be going there from now on after I witnessed him yet again speaking rudely to a customer recently. The other awful thing is, you go in there (I only buy his in-date drinks) and nobody is around to serve you. You wait 10 minutes at the till, then he appears, scowling at you and not one word of apology for keeping you waiting. I'M ALL FOR SUPPORTING LOCAL TRADERS, BUT NOT WHEN THEY LACK SIMPLE CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS AND HAVE INEDIBLE PRODUCE ON THEIR SHELVES. If he goes bust it's his own fault. I don't wish that on him, but it's a health hazzard and I don't wish anyone to become ill either. If you do still want to visit this grotty shop, please check the 'use by' date on everything, but expect to be treated he is doing YOU a favour by being there.

I have been coming here since I first lived in the UK. All the staff are kind and make an effort. The price is so much cheaper than a supermarket and the food is good quality Caribbean food. You can also get foods like ackee fruits that you wouldn't normally find in the UK. Thank you to everyone who works here
