   I live fairly close to Cass (I'm in Wirral) and ride a motorbike, so can get there easily - about 30 mins total. I like a real art shop and Cass is nice & bright with lovely helpful staff. However, my last 3 visits, which were for 3 separate things at different times, were fruitless - no stock. It's not as if I'm asking for weird things. I wanted a certain W&N paint colour, a watercolour brush of a certain type and size and on the third occasion, some 0.7mm 2b leads for my mechanical pencil. Not lapis lazuli donkey milk and dragonfly honey paint! All pretty normal stuff. A zero hit rate in 3 visits is poor. Two out of three would be okay, but zero? I did stop by next door at the Bluecoat for coffee and cake which was nice, but £7.50 I would rather have spent in Cass Art. I try to avoid using a certain American online store named after a river, but I can guarantee stock and next day delivery. What I miss is the browse around a proper art shop, but at this rate of success Cass, I do wonder if you are worthy of the title. I have ordered my pencil leads from you know where

   Great store with excellent staff!With great workshops throughout the year. I keep updated with their workshops via their website. I look forward to their Marble Art Wedding Stationery and Acrylic painting workshops.

   Really friendly helpful staff here with a fantastic knowledge of the stock and art more generally allowing for specific advice They didn't have what we were looking for but still found lots of other stuff and ended up leaving with a full bag anyways

   Cass art is great.lovely shop, lovely environment, lovely staff. However it is the DFS of the art world; unless something is on sale don't buy it. Sale prices are excellent; if it isn't on sale you're best checking the price or waiting until the next sale
