We went for the Childhood 2.0 menu. We loved it! We loved everything actually. The interior, elegant, cosy, with very interesting touches. The staff were unbelievable. Both, Bonnie and Chloe were brilliant. Friendly, smiley, kind, attentive, funny. They are stars! They took the time to explain everything. Nothing felt rushed, and everything felt so natural. They seem to enjoy what they are doing, and they set the vibe for the whole room. The menu... Oh my! Comfort food, with a twist. Surprises in each dish. All five courses were five different experiences. I even ate the mussels, that I hate. I don't want to go into too much detail, because the menu will change at some point, but definitely you have to try it. We will go back for the 10 course menu, and whatever else Modou will come up with and deliver.

Not sure if I am overreacting, so I’ll just list the facts in a neutral way and let you decide for yourself. Overall, the service was great β€” warm and friendly. Food-wise, up until course 7 everything was pretty good, especially considering the price point. Course 7 was pork belly. Both of our dishes came with noticeable hairs on the pork skin (see photos). We were a bit shocked and asked if it was a mistake from the kitchen, but were told this is how it’s supposed to be β€” the pork belly always comes with hair and there was nothing wrong with it. It was too much for us, so the restaurant offered to change the dish to a vegetarian version at no extra charge, which we accepted. Moving on to dessert: one of the dishes came with greengage, and the pit had not been removed nor was there any warning. When I asked about it, I was told this is also acceptable and it shows the food is β€œfresh.” We didn’t ask for it, but when we paid the bill the restaurant waived the cost of drinks and the service charge (about Β£30–40) as a gesture of goodwill and we appreciated. Again, overall the food and service was very good apart from the two issues mentioned above.

A wonderful experience! We opted for the 10 course summer menu with wines and were so pleased we did! A very warm welcome and with our 4.45pm slot the place was virtually empty on arrival so we were able to choose a lovely spot to sit before being guided through the menu by our friendly, knowledgeable server who was wonderful throughout and keen to chat with us about each course and wine and seemed genuinely interesting in our thoughts throughout. We opted for some delicious apperitifs as well. The menu itself was fantastic, I particularly enjoyed the melon gazpacho to start... a great start to a summer menu (and on such a hot day). I also really enjoyed the Mussels and Fregola dish. My husband loved the pork dish. We were both pleased to be proved completely wrong about what we thought our "top picks" would be. Wines were paired well and we enjoyed all of them; I was very surprised again by what I thought my favourite wine would be Vs what it actually was. I noticed the goats cheese dish was prepared/served very differently to what I've seen on their own social media but I can only imagine this is part of the development of these dishes/menus and it was absolutely stunning so not a complaint by any means! We got married on the first so travelled up to Scotland to visit some family for a "mini moon" and wanted to treat ourselves to a memorable evening out. This absolutely delivered and we felt was great value for money. If I was to find any minor criticism it would be that the music at points really didn't seem fitting for the setting... a wild playlist that rapidly fluctuated between "bangers" to more chilled music. That being said we actually found it quite funny but may not suit all diners!

There's no point reviewing each dish, because the menu literally changes daily. Suffice to say that the starter and dessert were excellent, showing great sensibilities, numerous small techniques here and there to make things work, plus overall great flavours. The other courses ranged from being imbalanced to flat, but not terrible. We had the critic's menu, normally you are supposed to guess the ingredients but we skipped that part and asked for standard introductions, because we felt like it's harder to enjoy the course when you're simultaneously trying to figure out each ingredient. It's interesting to have to write down your opinions though

Haven’t been to any fancy restaurant for quite a while as I’m getting bored of them but this place is definitely one of a kind! The price is quite affordable, but it doesn’t affect their service at all! Cutlery were changed between each dish, no one came to bother me while I was eating, so I didn’t have to talk with my mouth full. They quietly checked if I had finished my meals, and came to take the plate away. Foods are amazing as well, I didn’t expect it can be this good as the farmers market menu is Β£42 for 6 dishes, and I can’t really name any other restaurants that have a lower price with higher standards. I wouldn’t call it perfect as Black Pudding is not really my thing, but this is my own fault. All in all a very nice place to go

Outstanding experience at 111 by Modou, experiencing the 6-course trust menu for dinner on Thursday. Each dish demonstrated the creative genius of the chef while honouring local produce and classical flavour pallettes. We particularly enjoyed the homemade sourdough with truffle butter, the mackerel ceviche, the lobster ravioli, and the sea bass. Service was impeccable and attentive. Incredible value with the summer deal (6 courses for two with two aperitif cocktails for Β£55). With its ever-changing menu, this is a restaurant that we will keep returning to, and would strongly recommend booking!

Fine Dining and very affordable. Sunday evening it’s Β£25 for 5 course tasting menu. We had a very comfortable and leisurely dinner. Each course was delicious. Complimenting wines are available for each course (additional charge) A lovely way to spend a Sunday evening.

Lovely food but it would be nice if there was an online preview of veggie menus as well. We went for the 10 course menu. Almost all dishes were tasty, some more than others just one seemed to be improvised on a spot and not so good. Our favourite were the mushroom pate and the kiwi sorbet.

Went on a Sunday when they do a trust menu. You pay Β£25 for a 5 course tasting menu and just get what they bring you. I really enjoyed it! The family all got a mix of veg, meat and fish courses. I'm vegan some of the dishes were a little repetitive but so tasty I didn't mind at all. The staff were also lovely and very accommodating. 10/10 would recommend
