   Once again welcomed by Willie and his team. We ordered their nachos which were the best that we had ever eaten because it was well layered with cheese and jalapeños with extra side dishes of cream, avocado and a beautiful spicy tomato relish. An extra was some of Campbell Brothers famous haggis which was delicious. 10/10 Steading.

   Randomly found this place after a hike on the hill and it was perfect. We tried the fish and chips, battered and breaded and both were delicious. And the Sticky Toffee Pudding was even better. Would recommend for sure! Thank you.

   We had a lovely meal our table was booked for 6pm , got served right away . Both of us had fish and chips and it was amazing I had a small and my husband had the large it was sooo nice. 10 out of 10.

   Not been here for a while so popped in for an early dinner. Hadn’t booked a table which wasn’t a problem as the place was very quiet. We had a table in the bar and a nice waiter brought us the menus and took our order. We ordered one portion of Tempura Prawns, then one Steak Pie with Vegetables and one Rump Steak with chunky chips. Unfortunately the food was ok but nothing special , waitress a bit sad looking all the time with no interaction so perhaps having a bad night.

   Had Saturday lunch at the Steading - advise to book in advance because very busy restaurant. Very pleasant and efficient staff providing excellent service. I opted for the small eaters steak pie - glad I did because an absolute sufficiency in the small portion. The meal was delicious with the meat melting in the mouth and plenty of veg on the side. Highly recommend this restaurant.

   on arrival managed just to get a space in car park. Glad we had booked a table for 3 as restaurant was very busy. Food was excellent as usual as was service. There was no rush to leave which was good. Well done and will be back.

   Been meaning to go for a while and my grand daughter treated me and her 2yr old to dinner. No table service to order food, so up to the bar I went, one small area to put your table number and order your food at, if you can get in for the locals, I assume, having a drink. However ordered our meals and after 10/15 mins our food arrived, the seasonal vegetables where what appeared to be frozen peas and frozen carrots and sweet corn, properly cooked but felt that a £16 plate of food should have been fresh veg, roast potatoes were small cut in half "new" potatoes fried not roasted at all. Service reasonable and pleasant, overall a reasonable meal at slightly high prices but lamb was excellent.

   A lovely atmosphere in the place. Food was delicious, although portion sizes could have been a bit bigger for the price. Very welcoming host, waiting staff were very nice however, service slightly slow at some points, the waitress seemed a little abrupt and standoffish. However, food and drinks were very tasty and I'd recommend here for a good meal.
