Booked a table here for 8 people after the Edinburgh/Glasgow rugby. Although very busy, served on time with excellent service from our waitress. All had something different and every meal was perfect and thoroughly enjoyed by all. Will definitely book again.

Had a 2 night stay. Room very small. Not a chair to sit on so had to sit on bed. No storage at all except 4 hangers on back of room door. No where to put clothes or suitcases. Heating is controlled by owners, when we arrived room was freezing manager said he would put it on for us. Heating turns off during night so when waking it's freezing and did not come on until around 10. No hot water on 1st day. Would not stay again

Meals were lovely and sent out in a timely manner by amazing staff. The greatest feature was the admittance of dogs ( there is an area where they are not allowed for those who prefer to eat out dog free) and also a mini dog menu! Had a fantastic time and look forward to returning soon.

A cozy little room, everything was nice, clean, and comfortable. The only drawback was the heating, as it occasionally got quite cold, especially in the bathroom. The restaurant downstairs offered excellent service and delicious food. Overall, I would definitely recommend it!

We arrived at the torfin earlier than expected and the owner lindsey was so accommodating, the check in was smooth and seamless. The room is very stylish and cozy, but the best part was the soothing, most relaxing and roomy rainfall shower!! We ate dinner at the restaurant here, the croquettes and corn ribs are to die for we ordered 3 rounds. The fish and chips and pan seared sea bass was delicious! Katie our server made sure to check on us and provided great service! Delicious food, friendly staff, totally recommend!

Called in for takeaway as it looks nice and had heard good things. Not sure what it's like usually, there were signs outside for the chippy, but only fish and chips were available to take away. Price and portion were the same as the dine in menu, so not really like a chippy and much more expensive. Chips were nice, fish was pretty good.

Had a lovely meal here, I had the homemade scampi and chips, about Β£14, which were lovely and crunchy, chips were great too. We also had the beef brisket burger with chips, this was a generous amount of brisket on top of an 'in house' made burger, the brisket was delicious and the burger was good quality. We also had a side of veg, spinach, butternut, squash and peas which were also delicious. It was a Monday so the burger was half price at Β£8. They were good portion sizes and the service was very good. I also had the Italian meringue for dessert which was a little bit sweet for me, could have done with a bit more Cointreau to add a fruity twang, but I'm afraid I couldn't taste any of it, but overall would recommend eating here.

A great pub/restaurant service great, area great, food great but down graded to 4* due to not a very big choice. Atmosphere? It's whatever you like if u want a nice quiet place to have a chat when you are eating then this is great if you like a bit more going on then this is not the place for you. I f you are just wanting to go for a drink then there are a few local bars in the area that I think are better for this, but in saying that I will pop in here again for a pint and a nibble.

Took a friend and his fiancΓ©e out to dinner to celebrate his birthday & tried the special offer of 50% off the burgers along with a soft drink each and a sweet. The quality of the food was excellent as was the waitress service, the waitress constantly had a smile on her face and was polite and engaging throughout. The only slight negative was that due to our visit being on a Monday night only half of the restaurant was in use and due to my personal health I would have preferred a slightly quieter table (minor point). All in this was a delightful visit and we'll be sure to come back again!

We were from Canada when we stayed in Edinburgh last July and had the good fortune to find this gem. Not only was the food fantastically delicious, the staff was very friendly and courteous. If we ever return, this restaurant will be a definite revisit. Thanks for the great dinner.
