The restaurant was nice, some of the staff were a little rude, didn't get our order correct, They had a birthday party guest, which were noisy, so we couldn't talk that much as you couldn't hear each other. Meals reasonably priced.

This restaurant is one of my favourites, I was here two months ago but forgot to review so catching up now. You can pick between two different cuisines, Indian and European. I love the South Indian Garlic Chilli Chicken, my go to meal and loved it as usual. There's a parking area, the local bus stop is nearby (or if you live nearby like me you can walk down). Service can sometimes be a hit or a miss although overall never had too many issues. Definitely a great place to visit.

Had a brilliant meal here with my partner. We arrived a little early so took our drinks to the beer garden. The place is lovely inside with a very good atmosphere. Menu is Indian and a European choice. Was very difficult to chose because the selections were great. I had prawn cocktail and steak pie and my partner had chicken pakora and korma. Portion size was great. Staff were lovely and very friendly. Service was quick and at £14.95 for a 2 course meal it was great value for money. We will definitely go back. No problem with parking as there were lots of spaces.

The Alba has an interesting menu in that it offers Indian or European dishes with a relatively limited choice of both. The Indian food was good but two in my group commented that their European choices were not very hot. I tried the unusual starter of Haggis Pakora but was a bit disappointed in both quality and quantity - there were only 4 very small pakoras and they were a bit on the dry side. Service was friendly but not that great. Two of my group were already seated with drinks and although all the orders for food were taken when we all arrived I had to prompt the waiter for drinks! Also, when I ordered a sweet, along with teas and coffees, it was forgotten about and again I has to remind the waitress who had taken the order. We were seated in a conservatory area which was chilly compared with the main area. Final gripe is that the hand dryers in both toilets were unusually high with one of my group commenting that water went up her sleeve! We were there for Sunday lunch and the Alba was popular with families with young children - just a comment, not a gripe.

Our party of 11 Visited tonight to celebrate my Husband's 65th birthday. Have been twice before and never had any complaints about the meal, service or staff attitude. Staff always friendly, attentive and food delicious. Tonight was a complete disaster. Food was delicious as always but staff were far from friendly or attentive. Had toask for the children's menu. Our 4 grandchildren ranging from 8 -12 were given adult menus. We had to ask if the dishes and cutlery ve removed before the next course. The wait between each course was ridiculous especially as the restuarant wasn't full. After finishing our luke warm latte's the main course dishes were still on the table. We spoke to Serena and gave her our concerns . Her whole attitude changed towards us even though she had been chatty and friendly with us in the past 2 visits. She apologised and said she would take on board our concerns. When we received the bill there was a few discrepancies. We had been charged for food we hadn't eaten or ordered. We were also charged for a glass of wine which had to be replaced because it was off. Definitely WON'T be back and will stop recommending it to friends . Think Alba restaurant you've become too complacent. You don't need to impress anymore because you're getting the business. That won't last for long if you're treating your customers the way we were treated tonight . Absolutely disgraceful.

Visited Alba Restaurant on a friend's recommendation. It has a Scottish/Indian menu with our preference being for the Indian. The Alba Special Lamb Curry was tender with a mild spice and the portion size was great and paired well with the garlic naan. The Haggis Pakora was excellent as a starter, as was the vegetable and chicken pakora which came with 3 dipping sauces. It was really nice, including the garnish. All in all we paid around £90 for 3 to eat with 3 starters, mains and various sundries as well as drinks (circa £20). It's a lovely restaurant and I would return. The service could be a little quicker but the staff we interacted with were very helpful.

Great, tasty food both Scottish and Indian. Staff lovely and professional. One wee thing I didn't like, you don't get a bill you just pay up at the till. Would much prefer to have bill at the table. Anyway it was so good we will be back and I'd recommend.

Starters fine. Spaghetti Bolognese lovely and piping hot. However my steak pie the mashed potatoes and vegetables arrived freezing cold sent the food back and the next plate the mashed potatoes were lukewarm on the outside freezing cold and lumpy not buttery mash at all and the vegetables were lukewarm on outside and cold inside. The steak was however warmed through and nice or I would have sent it all back again but only had steak pie as the accompanying veg was cold. Very disappointed with the meal.

First time being in the newly refurbished former crowood hotel meal was absolutely delicious, I like the double menu which has both Traditional food like steak pie and other regulars like pasta and what not then there's a Indian menu with the usual Indian meals the staff are really happy and helpful and price was very reasonable I'd certainly be back
