    The place is a dump terrible service and in the back of the shop it filthy and if you look the owner looks like he needs a wash

    I usually order from this Chinese take away often but after my experience tonight never will I again! I put an order in online and 6 minutes later called the shops to explain I wanted the sauce separate from the lemon chicken and no veggies in my noodles as it does not give you the option to do this online, after calling the shop and explaining this she said “no” and I was like em why? she replied saying the order is already out for delivery and this shocked me as I had only placed the order 6 minutes prior to calling the shops and I said that it shouldn’t be ready so fast and she replied “well why not” I then explained that the amount of food we ordered should not be ready and out for delivery in 6 minutes and that I was not comfortable eating that food anymore she went “well that’s your problem” we proceeded to go back and forth she was continuously arguing with me and having nothing but attitude and she declined giving me a refund and ended the call on me. I called the shop again and she started calling me names saying I was stupid and inpatient and ended the call on me again so I got my mum to call the shop as she was with me and they answered her call right away my mum explained the situation and she told us to tell the delivery driver to return the food to the shop and they would replace it so when the driver came we explained that to him and he took the food back we waited over an hour and had no food I thought this was strange as considering the first time the food was ordered it was out in 6 minutes so I called again for her to say that she’s didn’t say that and that she’s not sending the food out and I am not getting a refund so we continued to go back and forth on the phone again and she was demanding I pay another delivery charge for the cold food from the first order to be delivered I said no I am not doing that as I have already paid for delivery and the food and she went again “well that’s your problem isn’t it” and ended the call on me again. I called the shop for almost 2 hours going back and forth with her as she was refusing to send the food or provide a refund so I contacted my bank who refunded the money but said the shop needs to cancel the order on their side otherwise the money will be taken from my bank again and in 14 days I can dispute it Again I called the shop and explained this and she went “you’re an idiot” and ended the call again. I called yet again and explained I just need her to cancel the order on her side so I can get my money back and she continuously argued with me and kept ending the call. I got a call from a random number who was a “manager” I explained the situation and she apologised and said she will get me a refund and I asked for this in email confirmation so I could show it to my bank incase they did not refund me and she said ok 10 minutes later I get a text saying I should have the confirmation of a refund in my emails I checked my emails and there was nothing so asked her to confirm the email she sent it to she replied telling me to wait a few minutes as it’s on its way but I knew they did not have my email as they didn’t ask for it and it’s not linked to my order so there for they had nothing to send an email to so again I was lied to. Not only have I been verbally abused by the receptionist I have also had my money stolen and made out to be a liar and been lied to twice.

    I was visiting friends in Edinburgh and used this local takeaway while I was there the first night I got what I asked for the second night I never got what I asked for instead I got noodles and beanspouts instead of a special chow main with no vegetables when I called to say they messed it up they were very rude and said that I ordered a vegetable chow main when I infact never I don’t even eat vegetables and am allergic to certain vegetables so why would I ask for a vegetable chow main and they hung up on me I then get a call from what I assumed was there delivery driver asking if I could go pick up the mistake the next day when i couldn’t as I was going back home to fife that day the man on the phone said he would bring me the order I was supposed to get and took the address to where I was half an hour came by and still no food called back up for the owners to be telling me that they were closed and there was nothing they were going to do about it so I wasted £6.50 on food that i couldn’t eat! This is certainly not how you treat customers really wouldn’t recommend them to anyone unless you like your order to be messed up and not fixed and then made out to be a lier!!

    I ordered a meal for 1. It was so good. It was delivered in time and was nice and hot. My starter was chicken balls and these were delicious. My main course was a beef curry with fried rice which was very tasty. Well worth the money.

    This place was recommended by a family member so tried it for the first time last night for famiy meal for 10. Ordered online (3 menu variation requests) asked for specified time. Everything was perfect, hot food delivered right on time. Price seemed about right and free bottle of coke and the obligatory prawn crackers! All good

    When it’s good it can be lovely but it’s way too inconsistent - which is problematic when there’s a new local rival with an increasingly good reputation. Many of their mistakes are entirely preventable - examples are not bothering to read requests, dietary requirements, allergy info on a consistent basis or telephone operators who argue with customers and would rather argue that they’ve not sent you rice instead of chips (when you have the rice in front of you) and say you’re a liar and risk alienating the customer and will refuse to send a replacement unless you pay. Compare that to somewhere like five guys - I accidentally put hot sauce on my sons burger instead of ketchup and even although it was entirely my fault five guys immediately made a replacement free of charge. That’s how you retain customers - they also actually pay attention to the instructions and give you what you ask for in your burger. It may just be the same poor front of house staff aren’t passing the needed info on to the chef. When it’s nice it can be very nice - but it’s too inconsistent. If they don’t get their act together they’ll be closed in a year.

    Third time now the whole order has been cold. (I live minutes away) Since the new owners took over this place everything has gone downhill. Kitchen Practices, Food Standards. And the actual quality of ingredients has been declining for a while yet the prices keep going up! Current Taste Hong Kong team please get yourselves together During the pandamic your sales should be skyrocketing and you are taking the piss here. be safe and be professional don't short out your customers on food quality if they are paying you!
