We booked a table on recommendation from family who had eaten here. We were given a lovely table in the window with views over the Forth and the beautiful railway bridge. We both opted for the Sunday roast from the specials board and were not disappointed. We also shared a portion of cauliflower cheese. Every mouthful was delicious. We decided to indulge in deserts and again were very impressed. All the staff were very polite and friendly. I would highly recommend this venue.

What a delightful place this was! Wandered into the top part of the restaurant where we were given the option of stay upstairs and have tapas style food or go downstairs to the more traditional restaurant. We opted for downstairs to get a nice view and look at the possibility of sitting out on the terrace (which was possible but would have been chilly!). We were sat next to the window which made for a lovely backdrop to an excellent meal. The mixture of small plates and big added to the experience as we could all easily pick away at the different bits and pieces we ordered. I had steak tartare for the first time in my life here, and I was not disappointed! Thank you very much for introducing me to such a delicacy, I will definitely be looking to have this again from a place with the same standard for quality as there was in here. The oysters were the star of the show however, as the grilled ones with the Cajun butter were a rich delight to have. I also doused my fresh oyster in the provided Tabasco sauce which was zingy but exactly what I was looking for. The corn ribs and onions tided me over while everyone else tucked away into their meals. The place is undeniably quite dear as you can see from the menu, but totally expected as firstly itβs a sophisticated place with quality food, but also itβs a seaside town so prices are obviously going to be inflated a bit (I donβt judge!) but I would say it was well worth the dosh! Service was also excellent as all the staff greeted us with a smile and a bit of patter. Thanks to everyone involved and props to the chef for giving me a new food experience, cheers!!!

First, we had fish & chips multiple times during our trip and this was definitely the best! Fantastic Korean style fried chicken, oyster starter, whipped Brie starter - we definitely All in food was excellent and the menu interesting. Great veg options as well. The staff was excellent, friendly and chatted when we asked questions while also letting us enjoy our dinner. Highly recommend going, great views right on the water!

What a lovely lunch. A great table, looking out at a panoramic view of the three bridges, as well as the harbour. There is also seating outside, but it was a little too windy today (late March) The three course meal we had was top quality. Well presented and off good proportions. Service was quick and friendly. No hovering, just aware of where we were in the meal. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. Both for the location, quality of food, and service. I wish I had taken pictures of the food... enjoying it so much I forgot to.

Beautiful seafood restaurant right on the waterfront in South Queensferry. Lovely minimalist interior but has large wall to wall windows with view of the bridge. The menu felt a bit limited, but the specials made up for it. The mussels are excellent, you could tell they were fresh and the taste was great. Seafood linguine special was also delicious-perfectly cooked langoustines and tasty sauce. The seafood starter wasnβt anything special, but was still nice for the price. Fish and chips were glorious. Definitely a lovely place if you want some decent seafood in a prime location. The craft beers on offer were also a nice change from the norm.

Second time we were visiting the Boat House because the food was so so good the first time around. Once again the food was spectacular. Scallops,. Black pudding, langoustines... All top quality and very fresh. The views from outdoor tables are unique. The place was fairly busy and one of the staff was visibly stressed but it didn't take away any of the experience. Thank you!

What a hidden gem, we had just walked the Forth Bridge and them made our way into the town to have a look. Luckily we found the boat house where the food was superb, the staff excellent and the views stunning. A must visit if in the area, itβs just really really good.
