Surprised this place gets some negative reviews. We regularly get special fish suppers from Cafe Zecchino, and have done for years. We’ve never had a bad meal, or a better chippie anywhere else.
The space was so old and you don’t feel its a warm and cozy feeling in the space you have, but people worked there were so friendly and nice the quality of food were okay and I’m not regret to be there .Im happy to try for one time.
Sat in to enjoy some brunch at the weekend. Reasonably priced lunch time items and lots of choice. Within our group we had pancakes with bacon, chips and curry and toasties. Friendly service as always while sitting in.
Lunch time today. Ordered a steak mushrooms and onion panni. What I got was 3 extremely small slithers of beef a scattering of mushroom and onions all for £4.25 Noticing that of recent the portion sizes are getting smaller and smaller. Appreciate that food prices have gone up guys but your chef needs to be realistic with portion sizes
Both the takeaway and cafe side are great. Takeaway food is always prepared fresh by Pete the main fryer in store and always get service with a smile from Yvonne and Adamo.

Staff are always friendly and talkative. My boy loves it and is happy when he gets what he asks for. Highly recommended to anyone that wants to stop off for a bite to eat.
Phoned for a homemade steak pie and chips which I have done a few times. But got this one after a hours wait and it came hardly any chips not a lot of stew and defo very dry and also cold. Phoned to complain manager had a attitude straight away and said he would swap it. As long as I didn't put pictures up. Then he said I was threatening him with putting pics up so told him to forget it. So don't phone and complain as he thinks you are threatening him .always phone he aswell. But never again also this cost nearly £15 for a steak pie super ?
Great special fish supper. Nice cafe, clean, plenty private seating, spacious tables. Staff very attentive by not annoying. Great experience every time
