I am vegan, and the first time I went here with my friend we asked what was ok for me, but the second time we went we asked again what was ok, and they told me at least 2 things we ordered last time had egg/dairy in it. They also kept saying "just a little bit of egg, just a little bit of milk, it's ok", like that made an ounce of difference and wasn't a big deal at all. It's a big deal to me, and I find it deeply concerning this dismissive attitude towards different beliefs and dietary needs. I am so shocked and disgusted at their attitude. If I had been alone, or with my partner, instead of with my friend, I would have just left without our order, but my friend seems to like it here. I no longer trust them, and will never ever order from here again. I would urge anyone with different dietary requirements to avoid this place completely. The food is also bland and basic and not even close to a good representation of Indian cuisine. There are far better Indians in the city such a Tuk Tuk, Dishoom, and even Bell Bottom.

STAY AWAY! Horrible Food and Packaging, This was a terrible experience from start to finish. I ordered the butter chicken, and it was way too sweet, completely ruining the dish. Tried a few other items too: the naan was dry and rubbery, the biryani had no flavor and felt like leftover rice thrown together, and the gulam ja moon never made it. To make things worse, the packaging was disgustingβ€”everything was leaking and poorly sealed. Honestly, nothing about this meal was good. I won’t be ordering from here again and definitely don’t recommend it to anyone looking for decent food.

Ordered the mixed Grill. Lamb khadai, Delhi Lamb , Pilau rice. Garlic nans. I asked for extra spicy but the Delhi Lamb was almost sweet and Lamb khadi was that great either. The food left a lot to be desired. Not to be reccomended.

Ordered the Chicken Kashmiri and rice tonight as a little treat for myself - very disappointed with it - 2 small slices of banana and 3 pieces of chicken in the curry. A shed load of curry sauce but the chicken must have ran away as there was very little of it in the tub. Never had a curry with so little chicken in it. Very poor and not worth the money. Would not recommend them and defintley not value for money. Chicken? more like chick out, ignored by Shahi Manzil when I asked them to get back to me about it.. No contact from them

Shahi Manzil is located on Willowbrae Road, Parking can be a problem as you have to use alongside road. We ordered Bhandi Bhaji, Palak Paneer and Paneer stuff paratha. Food was ok will minimum spices but good for kids. If you are an Indian and expecting Indian spicy then this is not for you. Hoping to get more Indian taste next time. Best of luck

Excellent food, price, taste and portion size. I have used other takeaways but this is by far. Set meal very good value and they will swap the curries if you ask nicely.

Can’t believe we haven’t tried this place before even though it’s just down the road. Delivery prompt - food arrived piping hot and dishes were delicious. Definitely our new #1 place for curry.

So, so disappointed. I first discovered the Shahi in 1993 and this shop fed me tasty nosh for nearly 25 years. Last year, I noticed little change in quality but tonight, what I got was a major disappointment. Whilst the King Prawns were perfectly cooked, the sauce of both the Malayan and the Jalfrezie were watery and tasteless. Indeed, the only hint of taste that came from either was the one sliced chilli in the Jalfrezie. It was such a disappointment: no taste, old chillies, old coriander. Please see the two photos, packed with large chunks of red pepper and onion; the former are not advertised as part of the KP Jalfrezie! What do I reckon? Young guys in the kitchen who don't understand the way Scots like their curries and just rattle watery much out with huge chunks of veg as padding. No point in calling the premisis to make a complaint; what would be gained? Not saying to avoid but be wary. And, management - lift your game! EDIT: just come out from 15 mins in the lavvy. Not good. Not good at all.

Excellent Indian food. We order at least once a week from them. Very friendly staff. Prompt delivery. I haven't actually found any restaurant in town who can beat them in terms of quality, which is probably the reason we don't eat in Indian restaurants. Try the Murgh Chat, and the Chicken Nantara.
