I love this place. It’s gotten a little pricey lately but the chips and curry with cheese are amazing. Been going for years. I talk up this place to everyone I know. Best chips.
No joke this scran saved my life! After a very committed run across bank street I found myself tripping and going head first into the curb but guess what broke my fall… my delicious chips cheese and garlic mayo. And not only did it stop my fall it stopped my hunger as it stayed in tact throughout the fall . The minor injuries nurses said without it protecting my head I would have had a serious concussion. Awful hard expensive Kebab that went straight into the bin, also the staff are not friendly and I heard one member of staff being rude to other customers while waiting , obviously this place is used by drunks and they must think that everyone that comes in is drunk. Definitely one to avoid !
I waited for an hour and a half, and was told I skipped the queue, even though the owner interacted with me and served my friend. Immediately served the boys behind me and told me to get to the back of the queue. Will not be back.
I’ve been in and outta Glasgow for 20 years and these Iranians that are here now are hands down the best ever!!!!! 20 years and I’ve finally sorted a review. Love you guys. Legends. Can’t wait to move here again. Best fast food (probs gut wrenching tomorrow lol) ever
The owner is absolutely ignorant.No customer skills at all. I would avoid this place if possible. The guy snatched my phone, would not listen to reason and was very arrogant.I was with my friend around 11pm, we were not drunk,tried to reason with the guy but omg he as anger management issues. If you can go to the chippie on Byres Rd.Avoid this mad guy if you can. no matter how much you have had to drink you should not be treated like a piece of .....
Arriving in Glasgow after a flight delay, 727 was recommended for after hours eats. What a fine fry shop with lots more on menu, and the friendliest people behind the counter! We enjoyed perfectly battered cod fillets, a light and crispy batter on the outside, still moist and tender on the inside, with fresh cut fries, salted just right. It warmed my heart to see how they welcomed every late night customer like a friend, and it’s clear they’re in business not just to earn a living, but to take care of and connect with people.
I feel very well placed to review this establishment. I entered there asking for directions to a taxi rank. There seemed to be a shortage of taxis so I went back in asking for their help. They were extremely helpful and while I was waiting for a cab I ordered fish and chips. I had a few bites of it fresh before the cab came and it was lovely but closed it up and continued eating 20 odd minutes later when I reached my destination. Even after that time the food was great. Providing good food is what they should do as a minimum and they did that but above that they made sure I got home safe so it's a 5 star review from me.
