We hadn't booked, but we're lucky to get a table close the the end of lunchtime. We had the 3-course Xmas lunch and the food was fantastic. The parsnip veloute was so creamy, the beef cheeks were so tender! My partner loved the game pate and his rump steak. Very nice desserts to round off our meal. Good selection of wines by the glass. Really good service. A great experience!

Yes we went into Gost with some high expectations, but what we didn't know is how strong their seafood game was in comparison to their exceptionally strong steak one. Yes both the steaks we tried were premium with a capital P, but those plates of seafood absolutely floored us down to the seabed.
This place maybe be pricey; but, given that this is in the heart of Glasgow city centre, and in light of the quality of their ingredients, the talent of the chefs, and the ambience of the restaurant itself, we can ensure you that every penny will be well spent.
Needless to say, there's going to be a number of food and drink items here that'll most likely be shortlisted for our end of year awards in December. In the meantime, we'd strongly encourage Gost being somewhere close towards the top of your list of restaurants to visit when in Glasgow.

Brilliant food and even better service! Visited for a special occasion and Gost didn’t disappoint. We got the Prestige Steak and Wine for Two for our main and it had to be one of the best steaks I’ve had. The team were very attentive and knowledgeable and the restaurant had a very plush yet cozy feel. Also the cocktails were fantastic, so good we didn’t even get a picture before we finished them. It is a bit more on the expensive side but worth it if you wanted to do something special!

This is a beautiful place to dine - immaculately decorated and tasteful. In fact, I hadn’t realised there were other people in when I walked though the door - the booths and decor mean there’s an atmosphere but it’s nice and quiet for chats.
The food is amazing - but the steak wasn’t the best I’ve had. The fries, onion rings, butter and risotto were all delicious, but I thought the steak was a little expensive for what it was.
Dessert was out of this world - highly recommend the chocolate pavé.
The service was incredible - personable, witty, friendly, attentive. Couldn’t fault it at all.
I’ll come back for sure but will probably order a different steak when I do.
