We go to Kimbo when we’ve been shopping at The Avenue . We have coffee and cake or lunch and we’re always so impressed by the staff and the food! Each member of staff is really pleasant and considerate. They remember what you like to eat, suggest alternatives and bring it to the table. Everything is done to make customers comfortable.
Staff lovely but food is bland an boring. The coffee is very weak too.
Price doesn’t reflect the produce but probably reflects the rent / overheads. Pleasant staff but food very average and dated. Coffee was poor unfortunately
Big shout out to Abby and Nikki for their excellent service this morning. They immediately picked up on a minor error and sorted it out; no doubt due to some very recent changes, so it's fair to have a few teething issues. However, I am still always very impressed on how this team run around on their feet; always giving service with a smile. By the end of our meal two other ladies were also assisting us. We simply had to give the Manager compliments on her team. Well done ladies for your excellent service, so I am looking forward to returning when I am next out that way.
Been using this cafe for 20 years. Excellent coffee and breakfast rolls to take away. Cake and pastries are top notch!
Was in today for lunch 6.75 for a small Prawn Marie rose sandwich and 10.25 for Ham mustard Mayo sandwich and fries and the crowning glory 3.95 for a Strawberry Tart service was excellent. We are regulars here but not any more as as the portions seem to have dwindled somewhat as well.
Staff are friendly but They don't seem to know the difference between a flat white, a Latte or a cuppocino. No matter what u ask for they will give you one size and one type. If you want a half decent coffee go to Costa next door and get the proper stuff. Today I asked for a flat white for take away and this gave me this extra large cup without a lid and it was full of watery taste looked and tasted so tacky. I put it straight in the bin

Asked a young waitress explicitly for a pot of tea to share between my parents as it was quite a large pot and it would have been enough for 2 people, plus they didn't want too much caffeine. A different, older, white-haired waitress came back with 2 pots and told us they must have a pot of tea each. We informed her we only ordered one and and 2 would be too much, but she then pressured us to take it anyway even though the previous waitress who took our order said it was fine. What kind of service is this, pressuring elderly to buy more than they could eat/drink/afford? Ended up paying for a pot of tea we didn't even touch.

They don't have any plant based milk available which I consider unacceptable when there is a Marks & Spencers a stones throw away. As I couldn't order a coffee, I chose a smoothie which the waiter mentioned was pre-made and from a packet. I feel that for £3.50 I would have expected a freshly made smoothie.
