Lovely food, great atmosphere, fab drinks, good prices and I hear there's a great pub quiz every Thursday! I'll be back

Excellent pizza - well above the level you would expect for a pub-restaurant. Beavertown beers are available, which is another plus.

As always the service was fantastic today. The roast here is well worth the visit. Great that the bar area is dog friendly too. You can stop for a Sunday roast after a long dog walk

Great food (our group had pizzas, burgers and fish and chips and everyone raved about their meal). The service was very friendly and attentive. We had a table by the fire and loved the atmosphere. We will definitely be back!

Really nice lasagne followed by chocolate ice cream sundae. It was a hot day so I enjoyed the beer garden at the back - there's a fun sign that tells you the distance you are from major cities of the world :) Recommend for dining well and inexpensively compared to some pubs.

Sunday afternoon late lunch and pub was quite quiet but bars staff said it had been jumping the night before. Lovely refurbishment and interesting style. Menu good choice and not overly complicated. Reasonable price and tasty food. The house burger was huge and the chips great. Kids meal sausage and mash prepared to same standard as an adult meal, nice to see that attention to detail. Only complaint was a bit chilly and they didn’t seem to have the heating on in the restaurant area as wood burner was lit in the lower bar area but heat didn’t seem to be reaching us. But that aside, would gladly go back. Very polite and friendly waiting staff.
