   Have always enjoyed food from this place but the last couple of meals I’ve had have been truly awful. Not sure what they are doing with their chicken these days but it is soft, mushy and slimy. Even the chips are vile.

   For a wee "scheme-Chinese" this little place is fantastic. Really tasty, very fresh ingredients and the cooks, both born Chinese having been in Scotland for 10+years are very good, pair of food artists. Golden Chopstix has alot of competition in Barrhead, but for me this is the place I keep coming back to.. and now it's the only Chinese I'll visit for takeaway or delivery. Golden Chopstix's Special Chow Mein is so good, and so tasty I ended up having it 3 nights in a row!! That has never happened before, really says something, just couldn't get enough of that taste. I believe from locals this place went down hill after the original owners sold up and retired. I had heard the quality had gone downhill and it closed down, reopening with the current owners. Lovely people that really know what they are doing. Highly recommended Golden Chopstix Barrhead for takeaway and delivery.

   Usually not bad tasting meals. Tonight both my own and my wife's curries tasted terrible. Made me feel extremely sick and left my wife with a really bad taste. Unfortunately will not be using again

   I have done 2 previous reviews on this takeaway. Thought it was time to upgrade it. This small takeaway never let's you down. Also one of the few remaining places you can actually watch your food being cooked while you wait. The cooks are on the ball. Even the girl who answers the phone to take orders. I have never seen her but she is so polite and is bang on with the phone orders. As is the Chinese girl who also works the phone orders. Only wish these people had a sit down restaurant. It would be amazing. This wee takeaway knocks chinese food from all parts of china out the park. Give it a go you won't be disappointed only minus is they don't do a king prawn in cream cheese sauce. If they did it would be amazing. Plus side their foo yung. Is the best I have had anywhere.on the downside I was very disappointed regarding their Xmas opening hours their website said they were open Xmas day but opening hours could change. I went down at 5pm through some rotten weather only to find them closed I waited another half hour as there was a light on inside so though they might be opening soon but they didn't. I stand by my food review but this was poor customer service.

   First time I’ve ordered from here and it’s easily the best Chinese takeaway in the town. Food was delicious with big portions and piping hot. Staff are friendly and delivery is swift. I’m really impressed!
