   Amazing!! Just had my Christmas lunch in here on Christmas day and wow the food was delicious, the service was amazing so well run today and very reasonably priced and you get a gift at the end. Highly recommend this lovely restaurant well done to all the staff

   I rarely leave reviews for restaurants but I felt compelled to leave a review here. I like many others looked online at the website menu and felt the prices looked reasonable. I knew those would be takeaway prices but thought a small increase for sitting in wouldn't add too much. You can imagine my shock when I sat down and saw that the sit-in prices are DOUBLE the takeaway price - yes DOUBLE. I had sweet and sour chicken balls which was £8.80 (not including rice)takeaway price. £15.50 (not including rice) I paid sit-in. If a restaurant can make a profit charging that for takeaway they cannot make the excuse that charging double is due to food inflation, staff cost, overheads or VAT. Its not DOUBLE the cost. Its pure profiteering - no more, no less. Totally ripping off the customer. Don't make the mistake I did and sit in the restaurant. If you really need to eat here get takeaway (hint Golden Dragon round the corner is much better IMO). And besides Shanghai is a 'cash only' restaurant - in 2025? Really? Very shady. The food is reasonable and the staff are very friendly but the prices alone means a 1 star review. I wont be back until they drop their prices.

   We have been here a few times. I ordered thai chilli with fried rice. I don't know what the chef is doing with the chicken but to me it tastes processed! The chicken is flat, tasteless and rubbery in texture? I've experienced this in other restaurants too, it puts me off getting chicken now. The thai chilli was lacking sauce but nice taste. Other than my experience my family was happy with their meal. Cant fault service (always friendly & attentive) and atmosphere.. please just get the chicken the way it should be!

   The curry was ok but the Salt and Chilli chips were disgusting - they are over cooked - hard and not chewy - whoever your chef is then they need booted! I could have easily made a better batch of Salt and Chilli chips myself? Never again!

   The meal and experience were great. Food was produced promptly and was delicious. Service was prompt and efficient. We have had many home deliveries but this was the first visit. We most certainly will be back.

   Hadnt been to this place since it was the night palace. 8 of us went. Got a great table with space for a pram. Food was excellent. So good ordered a take away the next night. Lovely staff and excellent service. Will be back asap!

   The food is really good however they seriously need to heat the place. Gave it a second chance and still freezing. Swapped seats to be near a heater which kept my legs warm but rest of me was cold. Food, service great.

   Was a quiet lunchtime, but service was great. The food was omg ,I always judge a Chinese by soups if they can't be bothered the soup will be mmmw ,it was very nice chicken noddle with a lovely taste of toasted sesame . Main was chicken satay , nice early nip and a lovely fried rice portion was great . My Mrs had chicken sweetcorn soup and crispy chicken Cantonese it was lovely as well . 12.50 for two courses. Winner.

   Sorry guys, ( trying not to be a Karen here)almost a two hours wait for food delivery, called twice in that time to see when to expect food delivery and told a very vague answer when to expect it . Ended up cancelled order due to wait. Such a shame, we normally eat in or pick up our orders as your food is divine. Will not be doing home delivery, but please try update your delivery system . Nailing it if you do! Love and best of wishes Sharon
