I popped into Elia’s for a quick dinner after a long day at work, and it turned out to be an absolute treat. For my starter, I went with the tzatziki and pita bread. The creamy Greek yogurt mixed with fresh grated cucumber, dill, and garlic was perfect - refreshing, flavorful, and exactly what I needed to ease into the meal. My main course was the standout: kleftiko. The slow-cooked lamb on the bone, served in a rich tomato sauce with lemon potatoes and a small fresh salad, was heavenly. The meat literally fell off the bone - aromatic, tender, and incredibly juicy. Honestly, it was the best lamb I’ve ever had. For dessert, I indulged in baklava. Layers of flaky phyllo, spiced walnuts, and sweet honey syrup with hints of cinnamon, lemon, and orange… OMG. Absolutely delicious. I also want to highlight the excellent customer service. Every staff member was kind, friendly, and professional, adding so much warmth to the experience. The restaurant itself has a charming, traditional Greek taverna vibe, complete with catchy Greek music that made the atmosphere even more enjoyable. I can’t wait to return to Elia’s for another amazing meal.

A lovely, dog friendly restaurant with a varied menu to suit many tastes. The house wine was lovely as were the meals. We dined very early, so it was fairly quiet and we were lucky to get so much attention from the staff .... especially our dog who was made a real fuss of. The food was well cooked and just what we expected with good portions. My wife's vegetarian meal looked wonderful and she said it tasted really good. We would certainly go there again.

We've been here twice before and enjoyed it enough to come back, but this evening was disappointing. Firstly my wife was barged out of the way by two waiters on our way into the restaurant. They seemed to be far more interested in serving drinks on the terrace than the restaurant customers. Our meal was great and food was lovely if a little overpriced, but otherwise just as previous visits. My big issue was when we ordered a desert and coffee...... My wife found it too hot to drink and asked for a little extra milk. We were charged extra for that!!!! The waitress felt that this was unacceptable, but said that the owner had dictated the change should be made. Milk with coffee isn't a chargeable extra! Very disappointed with the focus of the restaurant now, where the drinking terrace is the focus and silly charges are applied for milk in your coffee. We'll be going elsewhere when we're back in Glasgow.

This restaurant reminds me an excellent Greek food in Greece. I love the food a lot and it was as delicious and high quality as in Greece. During my stay in Glasgow, I came twice for dinner. I wish I can come back again in the future. Thanks for a very friendly service.

Yup ★☆☆☆☆
It was awful. Long wait 1hr between tinny starters and main courses. Needed to remind them. Staff were nice but the quality of the food was an insult to the Greek. Calamari were chewey, not fresh. Greek salad w no dressing. The main courses were just for reheating. I really don't understand what took them an hr to serve ? The fried cheese smelled rotten. Too much unexpected herbs in the meatballs and got all rejected by my kids. In fact, they were not hot as if they were recycled from another reject. The waiting staff were too keen to recommend alcohol so as to cover the delay in service and poor quality food. Very disappointed. Will never go again and strongly recommend to avoid. Reply : please understand that if main courses arrived an hr after starter that means my kids have been waiting for 1.5hrs+ for their dinner. The reason why I said the meatballs tasted like recycled is because apparently the spaghetti was hot but when I bit in the meatballs, they were not hot and cold inside. And FYI I have been to Greek and Crete more than twice, even home stayed w Greek family, so I know what home taste is like. Thank you.

The ratings here are fantastic, and the signs promise customers a “taste of Athens.” The restaurant is pleasant and welcoming. Our expectations were high. We ordered a couple basic Greek dishes. Service was relatively attentive. Drinks were good. But the food disappointed us hugely. Instead of the flavors of Greece, our food had the bland tastelessness of a chicken salad sandwich purchased at a roadside Tesco Express. Presentation was good. Taste was lacking. So sad.

Great food and service. We ordered Taramosala (sea food dip) starter and Mousaka )traditional greek fav), grilled chicken for main course. Portion sizes were big enough to satisfy us. Will def visit again whenever we are back.

Staff were very friendly and professional. There was a nice cosy atmosphere in the restaurant, and the decor was very appealing. Food was excellent, as this was my 1st visit to a Greek Restaurant I thought I’d start with the Moussaka, and it didn’t let me down. It was delicious. Though unfortunately I couldn’t finish it as the serving was huge. This was accompanied by a lovely Greek Beer - Mythos. We would definitely return to Elia on our next visit to Glasgow.

This place is an old favourite of ours, (although not been in for about 3 years,) from its large plates of food to its reasonable priced wine. Would have liked the tempura courgettes a wee bit crisper, but they were still very tasty. The Soufrito was excellent as was the Steffado which was enormous, being very tender and absolutely delicous. If you get a window seat, you get the bonus of watching over George Squares passing life. We will be back. Oh yes, forgot to say the garlic bread is amongst the best anywhere.
