We had a fantastic experience at Cafe Vigo. The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, beautifully prepared, and full of flavor. Every dish felt thoughtfully made, and you could really taste the quality. Just as impressive was the staff: warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, which made the whole visit feel relaxed and enjoyable. Everyone in our group left happy, well-fed, and smiling. A truly feel-good place that we can’t wait to visit again.

Attended with a wheelchair user, immediately a member of staff was present to help us get in and get to a table. The entrance is step-free. The staff were fantastic and really friendly throughout our visit. Great selection of food, everything made fresh so asking for something without one of the ingredients was not a problem at all, and the choice of fresh cakes was INCREDIBLE. The marlenka was beautiful! Would highly recommend.

Always went past this place and seen how busy it was and I can confirm it’s busy for a good reason. We missed the breakfast unfortunately so I got the tower sandwich and was thoroughly impressed. Definitely good value for money I have no complaints what so ever. Coffee is also great and a decent price for Edinburgh. Definitely recommend popping in and I’ll be back to try the breakfast

We asked for a recommendation from our hotel for a cafe on our way out of town from Edinburgh. They suggested Costa (a chain store). Thankfullly, we noticed Cafe Vigo right across the street. Independently owned and manage very well. They were friendly and made our custom ordered breakfast and coffee pretty quicly and got us on our way. Very cozy and clean and the food and coffee selection is fantastic. Do this... not the other thing.

I love this cafe! it’s my absolute favourite. we’ve been here for breakfasts, lunches, coffees and cakes … it never disappoints! my personal favourite is Croque Madame… you must add the chips, they are the BEST!!! Kids love it too especially the pancakes.

We stopped here for lunch while waiting on someone at the Spire Hospital. It was really nice! The staff are really friendly and they do a loyalty card. The salmon bagel was beautiful and very filling. I would definitely recommend them!

A very friendly local cafe with some tasty fresh food. Perfect Veggie breakfast. A cafe that is managing to survive with a national chain as it's next door neighbour is doing something right.

Small, but lovely seating and the food did not disappoint. Had a bacon, brie and cranberry panini and I wasn’t expecting it to come with delicious chips. Sat outside and read my book. Would love to come back for another meal!
