Been hesitant to try Ricebox for a while due to the poor reviews, but I’ve recently ordered from here twice and both times have been excellent. None of our main dishes were oily or greasy and they all had a good flavour, the curry sauce has a good kick and the salt and chilli chips are great. It seems like a lot of the bad reviews are maybe out of date. We will definitely be back

Crispy Duck starter was good with a decent amount of duck. Satay Chicken was ok. Special Chow Mein wasn't good with about 90% greasy noodles and about 10% meat, with 1 prawn, 1 piece of pork, 1 cube of chicken and very small pieces of other unidentifiable brown beef or pork. I had to put half of it in the bin.

Food tasteless and NOT gluten free! We researched Thai place as we are visiting Edinburgh for a few days and were so excited to try a Chinese take away… Unfortunately though the food wasn’t nice, meat was all chewy and lumpy, and worst of all, my husband is now suffering from cross contamination as his dishes were not gluten free… If you have allergies/intolerances I would avoid this place.

Look at the photos of this chicken curry. It is swimming in oil. Old STINKING fryer oil. The chicken is in little bits including dark meat, not the nice slices of chicken breast that you'd expect. Binned after smelling. Read the long line of scathing reviews and avoid this place. Worst Chinese I've ever experienced.

It was pretty tasty. I really appreciated the amount of gluten free items on their menu. It was totally worth the trip and well priced.

Nearly died. I'm extremely allergic to prawns and ordered their meat spring roll. I mentioned I was allergic to seafood and no one warned me about the spring roll. When I called them after having a bite, which could've sent me into anaphylactic shock had i not had my medicines with me, the worker said that they didn't have enough space on the menu to put that it contained prawns. He then said that I should have assumed that the "meat spring roll" also contained prawns. Not once did he attempt to apologize. He was extremely rude and defensive throughout the whole conversation. Utterly horrible service. Would give them lower than 1 star if possible.
