Village Pub with nice rooms. Had dinner there- the mongolian beef stew and the beef hotpot were homemade and delicious. Great staff and Owners. Nothing was too much trouble
We booked our daughter’s 1st birthday get together at The Fox and Maple. It was an absolutely lovely afternoon. Everyone had a great time and the service was brilliant. So helpful and friendly. The buffet food was good too. Can’t fault anything. Would definitely recommend!
My girlfriend and I stayed at The Fox and Maple while visiting family and friends, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment we arrived, the owners were incredibly friendly and welcoming. It genuinely felt like staying with friends. Our room was fantastic value for money: clean, spacious, tidy, and had a lovely selection of teas and coffees. We had a great night’s sleep and really appreciated the comfort. Dinner that evening was absolutely delicious, and to our surprise, there was a karaoke night happening too! We ended up staying, singing a few songs, enjoying drinks, and having an all-round brilliant evening. We also stayed for the Sunday roast before heading off, and it was top-notch. Honestly felt like a proper home-cooked meal, full of flavor and heart. Overall, The Fox and Maple is a fantastic village pub with a cozy, family-run vibe. Whether you’re popping in for a meal or planning an overnight stay, the value is excellent, the locals are friendly, and the staff make you feel right at home. It’s the kind of place that makes you wish you had one just like it back home.
So despite being put in a difficult position by the previous owners and not being aware of my booking , Colin and Tara honoured the booking and were absolutely fantastic! We had a lovely buffet for my son's Christening, staff were all lovely and helpful... nothing was too much trouble. They are more than happy to have a chat and make everyone feel welcome. We will be back to have a roast as they looked fantastic! Thankyou all for making today as stress free as possible and I wish you all the best for the future of the Fox & Maple ❤️
We had a delicious lunch here this week. I chose the lasagne and my husband had the all day brunch. Good portions, good value, very tasty, served nice and hot. Quick service. Good environment with comfy seats in the dining area. Out the back there’s a nice beer garden with kids’ play area for warmer weather. Spacious car park. The staff were pleasant and the service was good. We will definitely be back for another delicious lunch!
Good food and friendly service. Not over crowded and very dog friendly. Lots of parking. Clean. Delicious camembert cheese.
We had a lovely roast beef dinner at the Fox and Maple. The beef was melt in the mouth, lovely Yorkshire pudding and roast potatoes, and vegetables all very tasty and well cooked. Service was quick, although it wasn’t very busy so can’t comment on what it would be like on a busier day. Highly recommend.
Can’t fault what the new owners have don’t to this place. It’s so good to have a hub of the community now. The ambiance is so warm and welcoming. The food is really good and the staff are just so amazing. We absolutely love it in here now. Such a welcomed addition to the area.
The pub itself was very welcoming and comfortable, the staff were polite and helpful. We were in a party of 4 and we all felt that the menu was very limited in choice and all ended up having the fish and chips which non of us wanted but felt there was no other choice, however the fish was lovely. We felt there were too many vegetarian options and a lack of meat based options. The bread and butter pudding was like a brick, a lovely flavour if you could break a piece off. Very disappointing overall, may try it again one day but not in a hurry.
Only a skeleton menu, but the food is of excellent quality. Good portion sizes. Puddings a bit pricey, but this seems the same everywhere. Will definitely visit again soon.
