Very disappointing experience. The security staff were extremely rude and unprofessional. The bar didnβt look busy at all, yet we were refused entry without a proper explanation and told to βfind another bar.β There was no polite communication or attempt to handle the situation respectfully. Definitely not the kind of welcome you expect from a place like this

Wunderbar in Glasgow is a prime example of how not to run an establishment. My girlfriend and I visited this venue expecting a pleasant afternoon, only to be met with a level of incompetence and rudeness that left us utterly disheartened. We attended at lunchtime on Friday 31/10/25 for some drinks. Upon arrival, we were informed by the young bar staff that we could sit outside. However, after navigating our way to the door, we were met with a locked entrance. Instead of offering assistance, the staff chose to stand inside, laughing amongst themselves as we struggled futilely to enter. The situation was not only frustrating but also humiliating, especially since the bar was completely empty, and we were the only patrons present. Itβs disheartening to think that a bar would allow its staff to behave in such an unprofessional manner. The lack of basic customer service and empathy made us feel unwelcome and unwanted. If this is the standard of service Wunderbar offers, it's hard to imagine how they remain in business. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. There are numerous bars around Glasgow that appreciate their customers and know how to treat them with respect. Wunderbar is not one of them.

We really liked this bar, it has a beer garden that feels like it was inside & they had live music on. Cocktails as part of the cocktail festival were great too.

Visited on both Friday and Saturday nights. Great nights and a mix of live and DJ music suiting all generations. Bar service was slow but the place was rammed so I wouldn't hold that against them. Will be back next visit to Glasgow

Great gem of a place, hard to find but worth it. Great venue, decor and vibe is cool and unique. The staff were very friendly and efficient, really good choice of drinks and cocktails. Can't remember the names of the the ones we had but they were very tasty indeed, along with some st mungos beer. Had a really cool outdoor section with heaters and smart booths, really handy for smokers like me and can still enjoy the venues vibe. Fair prices as well a good staff makes it a must visit

Cool little German bar hidden away in Glasgow City centre. It's located off Buchanan Street down one of the alleyways. Its at the back of the Ted Baker store. Venue is really funky and modern with a cool outside area with seats. They serve all sorts of draught and bottles of beer along with cocktails and food. Great little spot to have a drink through the day or night.

I like what they've done with the place which used to be Bread and Butter and was quite run down. Now it's lively and nice, with high tables and stools, other lower tables, big bar, some tables outside too. Good cocktails! They have a wide range of beers and some cocktails on tap for only 7.50 which is great, including an Espresso Martini, very tasty. Live music on a Friday night was a bit too loud for us.
