Best Thai takeaway inn Bristol. Hands down. Authentic fresh flavours every time. My favourite stir fry dish is the chicken Krapow ftastes like I'm back in Thailand! Love it!!!
Oh my god, we just had pad Thai and massaman curry. So flipping delicious! The best takeaway that I've had in years. Ordered direct from Gorilla Thai on the phone then went and picked up our order. They were dead helpful and nice, food was out of this world. Will be back!
I absolutely love this spot! Amazing and authentic Thai food. Definitely the best pad Thai Iv had in Bristol by a long way. Service always on point and fair prices!!
Gorilla Thai used to be our favourite restaurant to order from. Unfortunately the prices have now gone up, and the portion sizes and food quality have massively gone down. We ordered a parang curry and pad thai both with the rump steak last night, and we both ended up being very very sick. The steak was tough and seemed to be old. The picture I posted is the portion size of a 500ml, I paid £16.50 for that. Would no longer recommend Gorilla Thai sadly, avoid this restaurant if you don't want to get sick.
EDIT: we gave this place one more try and good lord it’s honestly the worst Thai I have ever had in my life. See attached video! About 2cm of oil over the top, completely separated, sauce was like water. Honestly horrendous. Really don’t understand the good reviews. 2 out of 2 failures! The prawn massaman was delicious but the sticky rice was quite literally inedible. Like I actually couldn’t get my teeth through it, you’d need a hammer and chisel to get some pieces off to eat and even then you’d likely lose a tooth. Not quite sure what happened there!? The spring roll was also very greasy and had mainly mushrooms in.
Amazing takeaway - food was outstanding, service was excellent. Delivery forgot one item, we called them and they sorted straight away without any hassle or drama, really friendly.
First time ordering a pad Thai, absolutely insane flavours! A+++ amazing find. Gem of a restaurant.
Authentic Thai food, tried a few dishes they are all delicious! Their spicy food is proper spicy - beware! I think for western palate medium is already quite hot but manageable, their “hot” or “thai spicy” would be great for those who can truly tolerate spicy food.
I've been to to Thailand twice and this is definitely my favourite Thai takeaway back in uk. their vegan menu is amazing and chef jackie knows the score. much recommended.
