   A small and cozy authentic french restaurant, Jérôme is just an amazing guy, friendly and helpful, I ordered steak medium well with a garlic-butter, and it was delectable, The food portions are good enough, but the "must" is their home made, creme brulee, it's even better than many places in France. Thanks Jérôme and your staff for an amazing dinner.

   Great food, venue and service! Love the decor and spaciousness of the restaurant, and being greeted in French. We had two starters (baker camembert was my favourite, and pork pate) and two mains (rump steak and duck confit), both very tasty, with some wine and beer (the Merlot was very good). Recommended!

   You will not get a more authentic French restaurant than this in Bristol. Atmosphere and decor is spot on, food is perfectly French and presented beautifully. No fuss, no fancy and pretentious “nouvelle cuisine”. Just delicious French food and wine. Start with a Ricard with a sharing plate of Charcuterie then enjoy the fun of grilling your own Raclette Cheese at the table and then finish your evening off with a perfectly made crème brûlée. The owners work really hard to make you feel special and are happy to recommend wine or answer any questions about the menu. Reasonable prices too and family friendly. I really hope this great dining experience stays as we’ll definitely be back.

   I’ve had La Guinguette on my radar for the longest time and I’m now having strong words with myself for not visiting sooner. I loved it. We had the most wonderfully delicious and relaxing evening. The food is great and the service and atmosphere is very friendly and welcoming. We had a glass of red, steak frites and crepe Suzette. I’m already plotting my return visit.

   Lovely French food in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Menu is short but interesting with a couple of specials. I had an Alsace special, which was a good choice as the chef is from there apparently. My wife had the steak and frites. Steak was so tasty and tender. It's the kind of place you will want to go back to, to try the things you didn't order. I will be. Edited Nov 2022 to say that I have been back quite a lot. And it's always brilliant. Menu now a bit longer, but still focused on quality food. We're lucky to have this slice of France on our doorstep.

   Brilliant French find on Gloucester Road. Very authentic French restaurant that when inside, makes you feel like you’re actually in a restaurant in Paris! Lovely food, great value and the staff are brilliant. They speak in French first and then English to add to the experience. Definitely worth a visit
