We ordered a Chinese for delivery as we recently moved to the area and needed a takeaway! We are so impressed with the food, it was so so delicious and how quickly it was delivered was just what we needed after unpacking boxes all day! We will definitely ordering from Mayflower again!
We popped into this restaurant for a friends birthday, and had a fun evening. The staff were friendly and helpful. There is a large selection of dishes to choose from on the menu. I was particularly impressed with the Thai Katsu curry it was delicious. That was a good quantity of meat within the meal.
We've dined at many Asian restaurants across the UK and Ireland, but this has been our most disappointing experience. While we had seen the reviews mentioning high prices and small portions, we hoped the flavours would make up for it. Unfortunately, the dishes were just average and lacked the authenticity we expected. What made the experience more concerning was how the owner responds to customer feedback. Rather than taking criticism constructively, their responses come across as defensive and even aggressive. Feedback is an opportunity for growth, and we hope they reflect on reviews to improve the food and overall experience. Edit: Owner's response definitely reflects what their attitude is about serving customers. I have a few restaurants who got 5 stars because of above and beyond service and you are totally not one of them. Continue keeping that type of attitude! I have further reduced this rating to one star.
Contemporary Chinese decor with plenty of coloured lights. The staff are efficient, courteous and fuss free. The menu offers a broad selection. Our meals did not take long to arrive and were delicious. The Katsu Chicken Curry is highly recommended. Our evening was interrupted four times by a misbehaving fire alarm but I trust this was a 'one off'.
Dropped in without a reservation and we were in a rush as we were off to see a theatre production. However, the food was very nice and the staff were friendly. We would definitely go back.

Food was very fresh and tasty. Vegetables tasted like actual vegetables to give a mix of flavours, not greasy or salty. Good service too.
Just had a lovely lunch at the Mayflower (Thai) Can really recommend eating outside, it felt very holiday-like The food was brilliant - especially for a vegetarian. The lunch menu is a mix of tapas plates and larger dishes with plenty of options. It's not too fatty so doesn't leave you feeling dodge like some Chinese places! The staff were also very accomodating when I made a mistake with my order. Enjoy
