Re Currys, retail park, Falkirk. At around 6pm, three days before Christmas, the shop was very busy and all staff were occupied dealing with customers. I saw one staff member (Adam) who had clearly finished his shift and was heading home, but I asked him if he would point me in the direction of the Microsoft Office packages. Generally when staff have clocked out they want to leave the store ASAP, so I was very surprised when Adam took the time to go with me to the correct stand and then went through the options on each of the packages available. This young man is a credit to the store. If he's an example of the type of people Currys are recruiting, then their retail stores should survive for decades despite the current trend of retail outlets closing due to people buying online.

Visited the store on Saturday with friend who had purchased a landline style phone. No instructions in the box regarding answerphone and noise issues. Young assistant Adam was lovely. He was courteous, he listened, he told my friend what he couldn't do or know himself but to stay put and he will be back. He was back a few minutes later armed with large type instructions and clearly just the perfect colleague for Currys. My friend said herself that you don't find a lot of retail staff as nice as he is these days... Thanks Adam for your help, your attention and your honesty and cheery attitude. That wee gesture and service you provided made someone feel heard.

Nice store, lots of products. Staff are nice and willing to help, although not many there. However, today I waited around for assistance but no one came, so left.

Just left the shop having spent 15-20 minutes looking at TVs. 6 staff all standing chatting together and not one came over to offer assistance. I walked towards the door expecting someone at least to ask if they could help - they didn’t. No wonder people buy online! Appalling service, heading home to buy and get a TB delivered.

Tried to buy a mobile but there was no staff to sell one. First of all the staff had not come to work yet then, when I returned 20 minutes later, was supposed to be serving another customer although neither were visible and the other staff not able to assist me. I hear Tesco is more interested in helping their cljentele

Went for an upright hoover and got help immediately although the assistant didn't realise one of the products was cordless and had to check to make sure. We got helped out to our car with product which was much appreciated. There was a lift to the above floor, which is so beneficial when you have limited movement. Parking is a bit of a problem and there is definitely not enough disabled spaces which I feel needs to be addressed, this is in Falkirk retail park. I would avoid Falkirk in the hours of 3pm to 6pm as the traffic is a nightmare, it's more like a parking area on main roads, the traffic moves so slow.

Received the info I needed for a future purchase or 3. V. Good knowledge and advice on possible alternatives based on what you need makes it easier. Nothing worse than arguing with yourself over big purchase even after looking on the website. The human touch and thoughts bring clarity.

Very poor service. Stood around for a good while waiting for help. We did asked for help at their "repair/help desk" which is anything but helpful. Eventually when someone appeared from the magic door at the back of the shop they where clocking out and another two staff members were ready to walk right past us...so again asked if we could get some help, wasnt helpful at all and found the staff members to be cheeky. I was so glad they didnt have the item I needed in stock. £800 to amazon!

Went in to trade in phones. The guy that served us was pleasant and willing to help. Curry's now seems to have unrealistic expectations when it comes to trade in phones now. Almost mint condition phones were passed over due to dead pixels that are non existent on the phone. I'd recommend anywhere else for phone trade ins.
