I’d seen some negative reviews before visiting but decided to go anyway and I’m so glad I did. From the moment I walked in, I was met with warmth and kindness. The breakfast was wonderful, and the atmosphere had that quiet, local charm that makes you want to linger. I had great conversations with the people working there. I went 3 mornings in a row during my 4 day stay in Edinburgh, and I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in the city.

This is the go to place. Amazing service with a bright smile and a warm welcome. Some of the best French toast I’ve ever had in the heart of Edinburgh and not to mention a great date spot.

We discovered this place by chance on our first morning here and it turned out to be such a gem! We had the Comb Special and Menemen (shakshouka) – both delicious and very filling. Then we couldn’t resist trying the homemade scones with tea, and they were absolutely fantastic. The two staff members were so friendly and chatty, they made our morning even brighter. Highly recommend this spot if you’re in the area!

A cosy place with a great atmosphere! We came in around 9am and there was still plenty of room left even though it was a Saturday. The shakshuka was delicious and prepared in a way I’ve never seen before. The scones were to die for and so was the iced dirty chai! There was also a shelf with cool books, games and food like cookies, chocolate or jars of honey! Overall an amazing place for a chill breakfast

We popped in for lunch during the week. Great coffee and prompt, friendly service. The menu is pretty compact but everything looked great and we opted for the pancakes and a chicken wrap which was served hot with a side portion of chips and an abundance of chicken and cheese filling. More photos of the pancakes than the wrap as it was just so beautifully photogenic! Everything was incredibly fresh and the cafe was very clean. We will be back - thank you.

Absolutely fantastic — from the atmosphere of the cafe to the every single bite I had of my delicious pancakes. We stumbled across this cafe by chance while looking for some breakfast and ended up having a great time. We got the Avocado on toast with poached eggs and the Pancakes with nutella and they were both a 10/10! Apart from the food, the drinks were incredible as well, I had to get another latte ☺️. I definitely recommend this place for a nice meet-up location. Will be coming again!!

We had the best breakfast in town. The food and the coffee was so good, that we came back the next day to try the rest of the menu. Everything was amazing and the service was good too. Our favorite has been the comb special and chilbir. Well deserved 5 stars.

Delicious, fresh, friendly - Did I say delicious yet? We’re visiting from the US and popped into Comb for a quick bite as we’re staying down the street. Such a warm and welcome vibe with the seating and fabulous music! The owner’s brother waited on us - very friendly and responsive. Now for the food and drinks: The cappuccinos and latte were delicious! We had the scrambled egg toast (add smoked salmon, please), the avocado toast (why yes, smoked salmon on the side would be perfect!), and the pancakes with maple syrup. Yum. Yum. Yum. From start to finish, a great meal and overall experience!!

Comb is my absolute favorite neighborhood cafe to spend my days off at with a good book. I love chatting with the sweet staff while enjoying the most picture perfect cappuccinos and the fluffiest pancakes. Every menu item is so fresh and the atmosphere is lovely. I couldn’t recommend more!
