We enjoyed two great sandwiches (chicken caesar and the cheese toastie) with our flat whites. Coffee was some of the best we’ve had in Edinburgh and the sandwiches were fresh and delicious. The shop was cozy and comfortable on a cloudy day. We’d go back!

Very cozy and nice place. Coffees are delicious and they have wide range of drinks. Also their sourdough is very tasty. Food is simple but comforting. You can work/study or just spend time with your friends in that cute place.

Super cute café with great food and even better coffee. The space is quite calm & cozy, creating an overall peaceful atmosphere perfect for sipping some freshly brewed coffee on a chilly day in Edinburgh. Highly recommend! :)

The coffee’s not that good, which is really the foundation for a coffee house. The food is overpriced, which is a forgivable sin, but it’s not even good enough to justify that. The poached egg had mucky undercooked egg white around it. The butter was seriously over salted. The service varies, but it never felt welcoming. Very few smiles around.

One of staff wasn’t nice and welcome to customers. We didn’t know that we had to wait until staff give table. If do so, write in front of door and come quickly when we arrive there.!!!! The staff shouldn't respond like we don't know anything. It can only be said such a staff’s behavior from “typical racism”. Also, they gave us a wrong menu although the staff and I two times checked what we ordered. Plz write your order, if you can’t memorize four different drink menus^^.

Cult Espresso is a quaint coffee shop with a no-frills menu. I ordered the smoked salmon on bread as it was highly reviewed, and I really enjoyed the perfect balance of flavours. It was nicely garnished and the bread had a good crunch. Hot chocolate was on point too, not too sweet and chocolatey. I enjoyed the open kitchen concept too.
