The Turkish eggs were delicious, best Iβve ever had! Lovely atmosphere and beautiful decor, the staff were so kind especially the young waitress that served me she was so attentive and welcoming! Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice spot to eat in Edinburgh

Unfortunately this place was disappointing for several reasons. Firstly the sandwiches on offer were pretty underwhelming. Don't get me wrong, they were edible, but were very uninspiring and all seemed to be different variations of beige. The coffee was also far from good - not sure if it was burnt or just an incredibly bitter blend, and the milk was too frothy for a flat white that took quite a while to arrive. Toilets also didn't have any soap in. It's a shame as it's a handy location by the station and the cafe itself is a nice space to be in. Hopefully I caught them on off day or maybe the staff were new, but the number of things wrong makes me suspect I didn't.

Coates is a nice spot for breakfast or brunch. The atmosphere is nice and cosy. Its a great spot for catching up with friends or even studying. I recommend the spinach omelette and full english breakfast. I will definitely come back!

Had poached eggs with hollandaise and smoked salmon. It seemed like a small portion but it was the perfect size for Me to not feel too full or still hungry. Cappuccino was great! Had a great balance of coffee and oat milk. Would totally recommend :)

Fab wee place right near Haymarket station. Extremely quick and friendly service! I got the chickpea flour pancake which, I'll be honest, I didn't LOVE (bit bland/dry), but I thought it was great that they had that as an option. Where else do you see that? My bran scone was great though and other people's full and veggie breakfasts looked amazing.

Stopped off for some breakfast before the king drive home back to Manchester! I had the bubble tea which was really nice and fruity, but there was a little too much ice. My partner on the other hand had a latte, which she said was one of the nicest sheβs had in a while. We both had the pancakes and bacon which was also equally as good, the pancakes was some of the best Iβve had! The price came to around Β£25 for the above and it is based just outside of the centre.

Spacious cafe with nice interiors. We had a lovely brunch. The pancake was fluffy and paired well with bacon and the berries. Staffs were nice and provided quick service.

This bar is really cute and βinstagrammableβ: it has nice furniture and decorations, amazing coffees and nicely presented dishes. The only reason why Iβm not giving 5 stars is that the table was quite sticky and unfortunately my egg royale was not as expected. A part from the taste itself which can be subjective, the poached eggs were clearly overcooked. It may have been only a slip, everything else was perfect.
