What it lacks in atmosphere it makes up with friendly staff and good food at reasonable prices.
Such a lovely place! The owners are incredibly friendly and welcoming. The breakfast is both delicious and very reasonably priced. Definitely a spot I would love to come back to. Highly recommend!
Bacon and tomato on toast. Β£6 with a cup of tea. Bacon was badly cooked with dry meat and soft bacon suggesting that it was pre cooked ,no gloves were used during the cooking process and tomato was not cooked or offered any other way. I didnβt make a comment as the sign that says βthis is not burger king you cannot have it your way, you get it my way or you donβt get the dam thingβ
Exactly the kind of food and kind staff you want from a wee Cafe serving great Scottish breakfast. It was busy on a Saturday morning but the staff was kind and working as quickly as they could.
The shop maybe doesnβt look like much however best breakfast and loved the make your own breakfast option. Caramel Latte was the best coffee Iβve ever had, actually tasted like caramel unlike many larger chain cafes which would be more expensive. Would definitely recommend and go back.
Pretty much the usual fillings for sandwiches etc., but everything was fresh, the coffee was a lovely blend and the tray bake desserts were gorgeous! I'd recommend this wee place for lunch.
Went here for our breakfast whilst on holiday. Refused to pay the overpriced Holiday Inn breakfast. Food was brilliant, very good value and quality was also good. Service was excellent with food freshly prepared and brought straight to our table. Very reasonable priced and just on the bus route into Edinburgh City centre. Would definitely recommend it and would definitely go back.
Perfect greasy spoon caf. Lovely cuppa and a real good cheesy omelette breakfast that was very much big enough to fill me up till lunch. Nice friendly folks too.
