Traditional local pub in the heart of Edinburgh's Southside. Reasonable prices, friendly clientele and good atmosphere. Buzzing at weekends but can get a little quiet during the week. Recommended.
The bad reviews are old. The place has changed. I literally saw the manager help a punter who had a few too many to their cab. I'm not gonna spark fireworks to the place but there is no way old reviews relate to what the new owner has done to the place. Absolutely stellar. But remembering how bad it was to the point Edinburgh Council had to erase a bus stop is still a fun thought. Thank you Gordon.
I have been to the grapes quite a few times over the years but I like the pub feel of the grapes. I think it is just a good boozer with reasonable prices and the best Guinness i have had in the area and with a cracking atmosphere.
Excellent Bloody Mary at just £4 have a level 6 or above

Bar staff were amazing, super friendly and helpful. Busy pub with a warm and friendly atmosphere. Prices were excellent especially given that we had visited a few before that were charging a lot more for a lot less. Well worth a visit if you are lookin for a locals local.
