I only had drinks there, so i can't judge the food quality. They had a lovely cider on the tap called Orchard pig, the overall atmosphere was cozy, regular bar for friends with a good selection of beer. Overall a nice experience and i would definitely recommend visiting.

We came with no reservation, just wanted one beer while waiting for the bus, but decided to stay. Lovely place, we felt welcome and the atmosphere was just great. Participated in a quiz and came in last. 10/10 would recommend. The best pub experience in Edinburg.

Almost all of their menu is gluten free and they have loads of gluten free or gluten reduced drink options. We ended up going twice - I highly recommend the Thistly Cross cider (strawberry or elderflower) and their beef chili loaded chips, which they were able to leave the cheese off and it was still fantastic. They also asked when taking our order if either of us had any allergies which is very reassuring.

I had high hopes for this bar, as it came highly recommended & had great reviews. The vibes of the place were great—the staff were incredibly friendly, and the service was on point. It felt like they genuinely cared about making sure we had a good time, which is always a plus. That said, the reason I’m leaving this review is due to a very unfortunate experience with the Sunday roast. After enjoying our meal, my wife became seriously unwell later in the evening, with nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea starting just a few hours after eating. Thankfully, she was feeling better by the next day, but it was a pretty unpleasant experience. Given how great everything else was—the atmosphere, the drinks, and the service—I’m really hoping the bar takes a closer look at food safety practices. I’d still recommend coming for the drinks and the great vibe, but I’d suggest exercising caution with the Sunday roast. I’m giving a 2-star rating not to discourage anyone, but as a constructive suggestion. The place was great, and with a little more attention to food safety, I think it could be excellent all around!

Fantastic roast here. It’s a fun bar to go to during the week, and the food is always great (albeit not super competitively priced) but the roast on Sunday is a total steal. The beef was gorgeous, and every side it was served with was delicious.

Quirky independent bar near Meadowbank Retail Park. Decent range of local beers like Campervan and Bellfield (literally a stone's throw away), as well as some of your usual offerings. Nice and open with an area in the rear usually used for food, which consists of small plates, burgers and tacos (didn't eat on this occasion) but food looked good from the open kitchen

Tried the French onion soup and it tasted really bad, it was filled with lumps of cheese and the croutons were soggy. When I politely told the server about it- they said it’s not for everyone. Tacos were alright but nothing tasted fresh - they put canned coconut cream on top.

Superb tacos. Just had the beef shin and oxtail tacos today, had the fish ones too. Fish bites and fries are amazing, lovely little orange zest mayo along side. Absolutely delicious! Great bar staff, nice draft lagers. My usual once a month meal to myself on my route home.

Nipped in for dinner with my parents who were visiting me. The staff are lovely and managed to fit us in for food even though it was quite busy. We were blown away by everything we ordered, the flavour combinations were delicious! Would highly recommend!
