Best place, really good vibe and atmosphere. Come here most weekends and never have bad time. Drinks wise there’s so much to choice from
We dropped in for Cocktail Week and had the Giant Coca Cola Bottle. The bartender working was pleasant, friendly, and make a fantastic drink. Great place worth checking out.
Absolutely fabulous atmosphere, the staff were fabulous and very chatty. Cocktail's were absolutely delicious and well priced. Will definitely stop by again.
Pilgrim is good crack if u want a good pre’s, drinks are great and good value. If u go anywhere in Edinburgh - especially the city centre you will spend a fortune. Pilgrim is great value for money. Always have something on in the evening! Love it, fantastic friendly staff, karaoke nights with Dougie are our favourite :)
I was with friends, and this was by far the worst experience we had in Edinburgh. In a city full of such kind people, the staff at Pilgrim were incredibly rude. We stood in front of the beer taps for over 10 minutes without being acknowledged. When I asked one of the guys, he ignored me. Minutes later, I asked a female staff member, and she responded with an extremely rude tone and expression, saying it was on the other side. It wouldn’t have cost anything to be honest and polite. I will never go back, and I definitely do not recommend this place.
Our group had vouchers for cocktails (1 drink each) and nachos. The bar was pretty empty when we arrived but got steadily busier and noisier as the afternoon went on. The cocktails we ordered were really nice, all being consumed and another order placed. The baskets of nachos were a nice touch to nibble on during our stay. We noticed that quite a lot of the tables were pre-booked, which would be a good idea if your in a large group. If you like a quiet drink in a relaxed atmosphere, this place is not for you, unless you get here very early before the crowds arrive. The servers were polite, prompt and well presented.
Always crowded, loud and full of young students making loads of noise! Never found a place to sit here. The drinks are great but expensive even on student discount! It’s also a very small pub.
Second visit for cocktails & nachos groupon deal. Cocktails were nice and so were the nachos, could have been layered with cheese underneath though. Quite a small bar so gets packed easily. Friendly staff. In a good location. Attracts lots of students as it's near the University.
Used a voucher for cocktails and nachos. Went just after opening at 4.30 pm. We were alone but the bar was being set up for a themed beach party.The music was 70s so we enjoyed the nostalgia as well as the lovely cocktails .The staff were friendly and attentive.
Nice atmosphere and quirky decor makes it a really fun place to have hang out. We bought the Groupon promotion that serves cocktails and nachos. Friendly service staff and the drinks is well presented and very nice. They also run promotions for students and members! Would recommend visiting if around Cowgate area!
