    awful customer service, not accommodating at all and so rude. would never recommend this bar to anyone unless they are trying to get their day ruined. left a bad taste of Edinburgh

    I had the weirdest experience on going into this bar. Had planned to meet a mate and go to the restaurant upstairs afterwards. Went in, my mate still wasn't there so used the loo and went outside call her. The owner/ manager started shouting abuse at me for using the loo. So aggressive !!! No wonder there was only 2 folk in the bar. Enter at your peril !

    The bartender was very rude. Never saw anything like that. When I went with my family, my father wanted to try some nice scotch, a customer that was at the bar got a dose of his favourite one to my father, and he paid for it. He got one for himself as well, paid for both. So the bartender tried to make me pay for the 2 doses again. Saying that we were 4 people and that we needed to order more drinks. He was literally forcing me to buy more doses. He has been very rude. It didn't make any sense . The worst pub I've ever been. The pub was empty, I was wondering why when we came in, because it's situated in a very touristic location... Now we know the reason. Do not recommend it at all.

    My husband and I escaped to this small pub after being around the huge crowd the day they brought the queen to St. Giles. Wonderful fish and chips and drinks!
