Absolutely LOVED this place. I went there twice on my recent trip and hung out with the locals and everyone was friendly! The prices were awesome, and I even managed to catch a soccer (sorry, FOOTBALL) match while I was there. Seeing everyone get so into it was amazing. Truly great spot.
Drink prices are the cheapest around but it smells like.bleach covered vomit. It's definitely where the true Scottish drikers go. I'll go again but it's a place you have to over come the smell. Staff was awesome place is. Ig for a large group.
The beer was expensive even for the area. The interior is neat, wouldve enjoyed the pool or sports if I had friends. But I must say it was easily one of the most disgusting bathrooms I've seen. The stall doors in one had literally fallen off and was still lying there.
Came in Friday afternoon stayed till 7.20, price's have changed but sill 1pt Coors and bottle of bud still change of fiver, had a good session
This place is a joke, the staff don’t care and they try and leave as soon as possible. Two Sundays I’ve been in and they call last orders an hour before they are supposed to close! They say it’s because they are quiet, but there is at least 30 people there!! I think the staff just want an early night on a Sunday. Today they called last orders and didn’t even give us the legal requirement of 15 mins last orders called and then 15 mins after the last call. I got told I had 4 minutes to leave 16 minutes after the last order call. The toilets are horrific, they have three cubicles and one was blocked and the other two the locks on the door didn’t even work. The carpets are so worn out you can almost see the floorboards. BUT they can put new cloth on the pool tables, as that is what brings the custom!! I have pics if your manager feels arguing!!! Absolutely terrible! Negative 5 stars if I could.
Had a great experience at the Shandwicks. Was served by the lovely Caitlin H who was very polite and attentive. She was great at making conversation and made me feel really comfortable and welcome in the pub. She had a great knowledge of the drinks which really helped as I am very fussy with drinks! I am very pleased with the service I received and can’t wait to come back!
A charming, yet exhilarating watering hole that I will make sure to re-visit on my return to our country’s capital. A refreshingly cheap refreshment made better only by the sublime work ethic, and cunning wit of young Findlay behind the bar. Service with a wry smile and a listening ear. I went out with a couple of my pals. I was very impressed by the waitress.. If I remember correctly. Her name was Caitlin. Very good manners, and she made sure we had every we needed. We will definitely be back.
Drinks prices are unbelievably cheap, especially for town. Excellent service from great staff. Popular with the young team, so quite lively, maybe not somewhere to go on a romantic night out
great atmosphere great prices but the toilets are well have a look. had a response looks like u lie I noticed u told someone u had the toilets done over month old that post is lol the toilet paper in the pic is months old if not older
