Currys is a very good company with friendly and supportive staff, and overall they provide a great service. However, the payment and finance process for purchasing items could be improved. Mobile phone companies have a much smoother and more efficient credit-check and payment system, which allows many customers to get approved easily. Currys’ current system feels a bit difficult and less flexible in comparison. If Currys can update and improve their payment/credit approval process, it will make things much easier for customers and greatly increase the value of the service they already provide.

Joke of a venue, must have seen around 14 staff wandering about, picked up a ps5 controller then waited at the tills. Flagged a couple of staff if they could serve the growing que to be told they couldnt, waited for someone who had to leave again to collect the controller, for some reason he couldnt call someone to bring it, again leaving the tills unattended. Then to be told they only had 3 colours available. Another customer was given attitude by the manager when he questioned the staffing location, so he returned his items and just left. Team member was polite and clearly limited to what he could do, but what a joke.

The staff were reasonably friendly and helpful, but also came off as a little judgemental. The store is large with a great selection, but nobody was on the checkouts, which was a bit weird. Overall, it was reasonably good, but could be better.

I’m genuinely disappointed with my experience at Currys Barhead. We went there planning to purchase several home appliances — a coffee machine, a dashcam, and two other electrical items — with a total budget of around £2,000, ready to pay in full (not on finance). Sadly, the level of customer service we received was absolutely unacceptable. From the moment we entered the store, we were completely ignored. The staff were standing in pairs, chatting and laughing with each other, showing no interest in helping customers. We waited over 15 minutes at each section, looking around for someone to assist or answer simple questions — but not a single person approached us. When we finally tried to speak with a few staff members, they barely looked at us and continued their personal conversations as if we weren’t even there. It felt extremely disrespectful and unprofessional. We weren’t expecting special treatment — just basic customer service, a greeting, a bit of help, or even eye contact. The repair and support counter was also in total chaos — a long queue, only one person actually working, while the rest of the staff were standing around chatting. The whole atmosphere made it clear that customer care simply isn’t a priority in this branch. We left the store feeling frustrated and disappointed. It’s really sad because we came with genuine intent to make a large purchase, and we were ready to pay right away. But after such an experience, we decided not to spend a single penny there. Currys really needs to train their staff on basic customer service, communication, and respect. This was one of the worst in-store experiences I’ve had in the UK, and it completely changed my view of the brand.

Searching for replacement iron. 2 selected and couldn't find stocks below display. Asked assistant to check availability. Advised 'out of stock'. No offer to order in. Was advised - 2 in stock, in....... Edinburgh!! We live less than 3 miles from Braehead store - Edinburgh wasn't really an option. PLUS Assistant didn't remove either product from display. Wonder how many other customers made stock enquiries that day???

Had the best 2 ladies helping me return my elderly parents vacuum on Thursday 9th and then choosing a new one. They were so helpful and patient. Fabulous service, thanks

I have been to this store quite a few times in the past. I only go if absolutely necessary. The goods on display are never available to buy because they have to be ordered in. That is if you can get an assistant to help you on the first place. You are better off ordering online yourself the delivery is much quicker.

Currys was a mixed experience. Had to queue for an assistant for about 20 minutes. We struck it lucky with Thomas who was tremendous, really helpful and knowledgeable. Unfortunately, the sound bar I wanted was out of stock and unable to give a delivery date. This was post Xmas and outwith his control.
