    Super rude lady did not accept a return of hair straighteners that were faulty and causing injury to my partners hair arguing it was working as expected. I of course have placed a formal complaint to Argos head office. Avoid this store!

    A massive shout out to Neil at Argos in Darnley for providing his exceptional customer service the other day. I was trying to pick up 60inch TV with my toddler daughter myself (and pregnant) Neil noticed i was myself and didnt hesitate to help me get it in the car, which after trying everything, it didnt fit so he called a delivery driver who had just pulled in, who then followed me home in the van to deliver the TV. His dedication and willingness to help were far beyond what was expected and really helped me out that evening so thanks Neil! Appreciated it

    Manager called Neil was being too extra and difficult. Had a speaker that was faulty. I showed him a video of the speaker not working and he still asked for more evidence. He was being absolutely difficult felt like I had to continually proving evidence like it was the crown court. Not happy with how the manager handled this he clearly just didn’t want to refund and take accountability the item was faulty. As a regular customer because of him youse have lost a loyal customer. Not happy

    Unfortunately not writing a good review ! Extremely rude behaviour of the lady named ‘Roz’ who dealt with me. I went to collection desk for collection of online order and shown her my order number…. She told me off rudely that ‘you need to call customer services’. I replied saying I am on Argos reception desk to collect my stuff and you telling me to call customer services. Then I was told to ‘calm down’ . Unfortunately, if people serving to customers are rude without knowing any situation, it’s not acceptable. She was LOUD, RUDE and UNAPOLOGETIC even after clarifying what I am here for ! Please note! NO COMMUNICATION PROBLEMS here on my behalf. I have been living / working / very well spoken English and UK National with no communication problems. Please note Previously 10-15 days ago, I also attended for my another order collection and the guy who served me was OUTSTANDING in his manners. Don’t remember his name. Recommendation is that ‘This lady needs to be polite in just a normal customer dealing’

    I bought a kettle from Argos Darnley and found out that it doesn’t automatically turn off once water is boiled, I didn’t feel safe and went on to return next day with the receipt and I explained it was too technical for me, the server then refused to return as I had already used it, I then explained him by saying the kettle doesn’t turn off once water is heated, it keeps on boiling, there was a lady in her 40s I believe cheekily out from the back saying “ oh, now it’s got a fault then” they then proceeded to plug in the kettle by putting some bottled water to check if I wasn’t lying, right in the check out. I was right despite my skin colour and the pyjamas I was wearing and not so perfect English. , there was no word of apology for the wait. I believe if I trust Argos to shop any item and most of us have shopped in Argos multiple times in our lives, they should show us the basic trust as well. if I had returned a faulty lawn mower, will they take the lawn more in their garden use it while I wait. I don’t think the judges working that day are qualified to identify a fault in electrical items. Has the company provided them any training or are they covered in any accidents that happens while they check faulty electrical items. Of course they have not. The judges that day doubted me and called me a liar on my face and were proved wrong practically when they checked based on how I look. Is this same with all the returned electrical items or faults are checked by untrained staff if you are brown or black customer. These sort of patronising behaviour should not happen to the customer who pays your wage. I am absolutely okay if they wanted to check without calling me a liar on my face. Although they are meant to believe their customers. I don’t think it makes any difference wether I shop there or not but these sort of behaviour if done regularly to customers is not going to help anyone in long run if you believe in being respectful and nice to people who pay the money to shop and there are of course other options.
