Had an excellent Christmas meal, just the two of us celebrating. Food was to a very high standard the pork starter was delicious followed by beautiful lamb and a trio of desserts. The atmosphere in the restaurant was lovely and festive. The team led by Chris provided a slick attentive service.
For a normal looking pub the food was absolutely delicious. The cheese and chive rolls were so nice I had to order seconds and my very hard to please mum loved her trout with prawn and chorizo chowder.
Food was good, especially for a pub. Higher quality than most around. The complimentary herb rolls were very nice and our mains of chicken and ham pie and duck were lovely. Very good value for money. The service was friendly. The biggest let down was the atmosphere. We were sat in the back room, which was dark and empty, was very odd setting unless you are in a big group and want the privacy.
Fantastic. My photo taken with my terrible phone truly does not do this food justice. The best meal I have had in at least five years across Europe and North America. Duck breast and potato rosti was superb. Duck was rich, flavourful and succulent. Potato rosti was intricate, savoury and crisp. Cheese and chive rolls with Netherend butter made the perfect appetiser. Sat in the pub area as popped in on the off chance on a busy Saturday evening. Service was great, attentive and welcoming. What a find. Will be back.
Went to a Christmas Party here. Everything was lovely. The food was excellent and the servers were very friendly and welcoming.

Booked for our wedding anniversary when we arrived they had cancelled our table in the restaurant and moved us to pub half an hour later than the original booking. Nobody bothered to let us know. The lady behind the bar was apologetic but there was nothing could be done. We decided to go elsewhere.
Nice place, very good food, slightly small on the portions but the quality is great.
Great experience :) On beginning we bean given small bowl of popcorn and after lovely cheese parsley warm rolls (heaven). AlL that was free of charge. Then we went for 3 course set menu. Belly pork is just perfect. Thank you Ugly Duckling for such nice experience :)
