   We went today as I’ve seen this restaurant is number 1 on Tripadvisor so we thought we try it out! It was very busy, understaff, but no problems getting seated! They guys behind us got served first, you would expect to be serve as we were in front of them! The most important thing is the food, the food was great and deserved what we had to paid out! Totally recommended restaurant if you’re in Bourton-on-the Water!

   We had roast beef, sea-bass fillet, fried squid, vegan salad and chicken breast with mushroom cream sauces. The prices were quite high but it’s worth with the atmosphere. Service is quite slow for getting the order. Overall 4/5

   Food was lovely and a good pick up spot during our day at burton on the water. Staff tried their best however the timing of waiting to be seated, our order taken and served was very long. We sat outdoors and the view was lovely perfect for a sunny day. Would recommend and for 6 people the bill came to £150ish with 10% service charge.

   I recently dined at The Rose Tree in Bourton-on-the-Water, and it was hands down one of the best meals I’ve ever had. From start to finish, everything was exceptional. The squid starter was simply outstanding—beautifully presented, perfectly balanced flavors, and every element worked together harmoniously. For my main, I had the sea bass, which was cooked to perfection and completely boneless—a real treat. The portion sizes were generous, and even the garlic bread was incredible. The rest of my table enjoyed lamb shank, chicken, and pork, and every single person agreed it was one of the best meals they’d had. The desserts were equally impressive, rounding off the meal perfectly. The service was amazing, with friendly and welcoming staff who created a relaxed and private atmosphere. Despite the restaurant being small, it never felt cramped, and the staff’s knowledge of the menu and proactive approach to service was fantastic. I honestly couldn’t recommend The Rose Tree enough. Make sure to book in advance, as the restaurant is small, but trust me, it’s well worth it. An absolute gem!

   The food was amazing, both the steak pie and chicken pie were delicious. The portion of the mains are quite big. The fish and chips was nicely done, you can tell the fish they used was different than the regular one. As their menu mentioned all of their ingredients were from different nearby foam, maybe that’s why their food tasted so good. The stuff there was really nice and friendly. Public free parking is next door, 1 mins away.

   Met for lunch for a family birthday. We all had three courses and all the food was great. My favourite dish was the prawn cocktail starter. Good selection of drinks and coffee. Dog friendly. Service was a bit slow but when they did come they were friendly, and we were even serenaded with happy birthday!

   Great restaurant. Busy place even on a rainy day. Staff was great. I had something simple from the menu. It came out quickly and the presentation was also very good. Prices were also fairly reasonable for a touristy town. I would recommend this place, just walking past demonstrates how great it is.

   Enjoyed lunch at an outside table. Service was prompt and with smiles all around. The food was excellent. The ambience on a sunny day was priceless. The Rhubarb Cider from the crafty pig cider house lived up to the server’s recommendation.

   Food was very good and lovely outside seating area. They were accommodating even though I did not have a reservation. Staff was friendly. Felt that other tables were checked in a little more than I was— I ordered a drink that I never got and when my meal came out I thought the server said she was bringing me a knife (that I never received). Overall, would recommend.
