   I’ve been shopping at this supermarket for about 4 years, but this time the experience was very disappointing. I was clearly waiting in line to pay. Because I bought many items, I asked to split my purchase into two separate payments. After finishing the first payment, the cashier asked me if I could step aside and wait for the customers (like 3-4 people) behind me to finish checking out before completing my second payment. I agreed at the time and waited. However, I later expressed that I felt uncomfortable about this situation. My issue is not about waiting five more minutes — that is not a problem for me at all. The real issue is that I felt unequally treated as a customer. In my experience, no other supermarket decides the checkout order based on how many items a customer buys. The staff responded by saying, “You can say no next time.” this is not about whether I say no or yes. It’s about the fact that such a question should not be asked in the first place. Customers who are already in line should be treated equally, regardless of how much they purchase. What made the situation worse was the explanation given afterward. I was told that it was raining, “you’re not in a hurry to leave anyway,” and that they thought we were “easy-going.” This assumption was inappropriate. Whether it’s raining or whether a customer seems easy-going should never determine checkout order. This experience made me feel disrespected, especially as a returning customer. I hope the management can reconsider their checkout practices and staff training.

   This store looks very low-key from the outside but the interior packs a whole range of selection. First time here. Very impressed with the range of products and the quality of the products. Everything I need for an Asian meal is out here. The selections are simply impressive. The store is very clean, spacious and the staff here are very polite. The best Asian supermarket I can find in the West End.
