   Check the calendar online — they host Scottish dancing traditional ceilidh every Wednesday 9:30 pm and every Saturday at 4:30 pm. It’s well worth coming to see. It’s live music, a bar, and free entry. The venue is a historic church building converted into a large live entertainment space with a capacity of over 700 people. They also have a big screen for sports.

   Visiting Edinburgh for the first time in many years, we had the good fortunate to be told about this place. Fair to say, had we not been told, we probably would have walked right past the front of it. But step inside and music fans are in for a real treat! The quality of musicians, bands and duos that we saw was superb! Admittedly, not everyone was to my liking but you still had to admire the talent of the performers. Free entry to see live music of that standard is amazing. We enjoyed it so much we returned on our second night. Hope to visit again on our next trip which we'll try not to leave as long.

   Stramash is an amazing venue! The atmosphere is lively and full of energy, with great music and a brilliant vibe that makes it such a fun night out. The space itself is fantastic, the only thing I didn’t like is the staff at the bar, they are not welcoming and seemed irritated and annoyed. Other than that definitely one of the best places in Edinburgh for live music and a great time. Highly recommended!

   Nice place to hang out. Their house Gin was nice. The reason I did not give them 5 is that they did not provide/sell any nuts, crackers and anything that you can have with your drink if you like to do so.

   Nice place with live music, mostly 3 bands a night. Can be crowded which is nice! Keep an eye on the performers list to see if you like the program. Be on time if you want to dance on the dancefloor. Drinks are easy to get at the bars. There's a second floor where you can sit and watch the music.

   Friendly staff, so tasteful. We did not know anything about the place before but the staff help us to figure out what might suit us well. Very rich taste. My partner and I shared a starter and each a main dish. More than enough. We liked the food and atmosphere.
