10/10 the hotel staff is so friendly. They answered all of our questions kindly and to the fullest extent. We had a few questions throughout our stay and either called down or visited the desk. The building is also an old historic hospital which just adds to the charm. Breakfast was tasty, the room was cozy. We would come back for sure!

We had a very enjoyable stay at Leonardo Hotel Edinburgh City. I am especially grateful to staff member Olha for her exceptional service towards my family. Initially, our travel agent booked a small room for us, but upon arrival, Olha quickly resolved the issue. Since we arrived early due to an early morning flight, we informed the staff that we would leave our luggage and explore the city. She promptly arranged a room with a baby cot, ensuring our check-in was smooth. The rest of the staff were also friendly. I highly recommend this place for those traveling with children. The location is excellent. Once again, thank you very much, Olha. I wish more people were like you.

The staff at breakfast were exceptionally friendly, everyone was super nice to us and the offered food at breakfast was enough for a good breakfast, either cold or warm. The hotel has charme and looks nice, and clean inside. Of course its a bit older but for us thats the charm of it, so much history inside the building. Fascinating All in all we had a great stay, the staff was friendly and the location is top, just a few minutes walking to the royal mile and other attractions Thanks for service

A great place to stay. Very helpful people, good and clean rooms and a place close to the attractions. The brekfast was great but would suggest a little variety as it is same everyday. Will certainly come here if happen to be Edinburgh again. Thanks.

We had a wonderful stay! The staff has been very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was wonderful. The location itself is also perfect, most important things can be reached on foot. We'll definitely come again. The only downside: the windows in our room could not be opened and we found black mold in the bathroom.

Pros: cosy warm room, lovely comfortable bed and spotless bedding. Reception and breakfast staff were amazing, best service I've ever experienced. Warm, friendly and efficient. Breakfast was the highlight, great range to choose from (buffet with cold meats, cheese, cereals, bread and bagels, juices and self service tea and coffee, as well as menu to order from, full breakfast Inc vegetarian options and porridge). Breakfast could not have been better, the friendly and helpful smiling staff made my day. Cons: room was a bit small (expected for cheaper price), bathroom bath tap needed fixing, window frame in bathroom needed painting, bathroom blind was ancient and needed replacing. Bedroom carpet was stained and needed replacing. Main stair carpet down to Reception needed vacuuming desperately.

The filthiest motel I have ever stayed in. And a receptionist named Abdel is the rudest most aggressive person and he needs to be sacked. He has absolutely no people skills whatsoever. He is abusive and he literally screamed at me. He is extremely lazy. He will not help anyone. The other people there were quite nice.

We stayed at this hotel for a weekend. The room was ok, it was a little small. The bathroom could use a clean as there were some staines. Reception staff was helpful. We had breakfast included and on Saturday we were happy, we could choice 2 items from the menu card which had hot items (eggs, waffles etc). But on Sunday this was not possible anymore, we could only choose 1. The buffet was almost empty, with only a few old pieces of bread. We also told the server from breakfast, but it was chefs dicision. I think you should not change some rules like that over the weekend, as most guest stay for 2 nights.. we heard more guest complaining. I never had such a small breakfast at a hotel. We almost paid Eur 500 for 2 nights, so I expect a full breakfast.

The staff was amazing, very friendly and helpful. The room was a bit of a disappointment. It was very cold first of all,the tv and remote were very dusty and dirty around the buttons, there was mould in the bathroom all around the grout, the ceiling and the shower curtains. The bedding and the towels were very clean though. The location was very good it was about 4-5 minutes walk from Castle Rock and from there all the attractions were fairly close it is an amazing place to visit with magical sights .
