Went to sports direct on canvey island and dealt with Rosie who was very helpful instead if saying bo she cannot help she esolved my isdue immediately and i also left with a really good pair of reeboks. I hope the relevant management will commend her because i will definitely come back regards mr Nugent
Purchased approximately £60 of items and tried paying with an overseas credit card. The card machine went through a process of requiring a signature (which is normal in stores like Primark and M&S). The store staff said we don’t accept that process and would not take the sale. We requested the payment to be voided and they said that is not required? We checked the Bank and it had taken the money. It’s now been over 90Days and we still don’t have the money back. Very disappointed with experience.
Went to this store WEEKS ago and lift wasn’t working. Struggled upstairs which left me in severe pain due to my chronic arthritis. Went back about 3 weeks later, lift still not working. Spoke to a disinterested member of staff who said she had no idea when it would be fixed. Couldn’t manage the stairs again so came home. Went again today thinking it couldn’t possibly still be out of order…. it was!

It's only when something goes wrong that you realise what an awful company Sports Direct really is. To cut a long story short we bought a pair of football boots for our son and a stud fell out the first time they were worn, despite being tightened. The disinterested manager denied there was any fault and blamed us. Two angry visits later and still blaming us he begrudgingly took them back, just to get rid of us really. Abysmal company that treats its customers almost as bad as its employees.
Staff are more interested In standing around than actually helping customers. They only had one trainer in stock and not a pair, so guessing there is someone on canvey hopping around with the other one.
Poor customer service. bought a pair of trainer online due to store not being open due to Covid-19 Trainers were faulty so took them to store to be exchanged. was told would not accept them as have no facility to return them. staff were unhelpful and because of the discussion with "manager" one of the other staff members started to laugh. had to leave to save embarrassment. Left store called Basildon who advised it would be no problem and they changed the trainers without any hassle. it would appear the staff at Canvey just could not be bothered.
