I held off for a while with the review in hope that things will improve, unfortunately this hasn't been the case. Very poor service, nobody answers the phone, the website says they don't accepte consult at 9 am. I went in to see how can i book appointment for myself and my daughter. She booked appointment for my daughter but refused to book one for me as according to her I looked "fairly fit" so I should keep on trying to call to be seen, which I have been trying for the last couple of hours. What made it worse is the fact that she booked an appointment for the gentleman in front of me as he was in the same position as my, handing on the phone in hope that someone will respond. I asked her about complaint form and she said that I have to email so and so but didn't provide me with the email address. I then asked another receptionist if there is any manger on duty but she said "no" but all complaints need to be put in writting at the reception so not very clear and consistent procedures. Again the reply is very misleading as you did book appointment for the gentelmen in the cue who was in front of me, he missed the benefit of being "diagnosed" on the spot by your member of staff and he did lool OK. Receptionist advised me to keep calling to get an appointment there was no mention of"urgent only". I think the main point was about the way I was spoken to by your receptionist who diagnosed me on the spot as being "fairly fit"... Anyway, there seem to be an ongoing issue with getting an appointment every time when I try to access GP. Yes, I understand this is a busy time of the year but it doesn't give right to the receptionist to diagnose patients. Please correct me if I am wrong, not every illness is visible isn't?

On my last review on a different email address, this practice requested, I remove my review and callled me slanderious. I have reflected using: my private health reports, legal statute, my experiences, my learning by experiences, my ongoing physical body appearance, this medical practice communicaion to me, my daily suffering ignored past NHS health stuff removed without assessment, NHS diagnosises untreated in decline, the innaccurate information detailed to me by staff here in letters, the false accusations towards me and health without hands on assessment or scans and my ongoing suffeirng and PTSD by NHS and physical health decline. I have concluded by considering and re:evaluating above, that staff accusing me of being slanderous IS there FURTHER DEFERMATION OF CHARACTER towards me & bullying, in them suggesting I was slanderious and it is further INVALIDATION to my feelings and experiences and so a wrong harmful statement. I therfore politly, request that the pactice remove such accussation of me "slanderious" as it is character defermation towards me. Failure to remove it, I will flag it, to my legal evidence as another "GDPR" breach of innacurate information on me and character deformation, calling me slanderous - I here exercise GDPR - "Right to Rectification" on there harmful & INACCURATE commnet accusing of me of slander to conceal truth and attempts to further inintimide me and increase smear campaign regarding me and bullying and character defermation. My previous post therfore will NOT be removed. I uphold my beliefs due to evidence, legal statute and feelings inflicted by experiences. Please note: No repsonse will be read or replied to., by this practice. They can seek legal action, if they still insist I was slanderous, but I will not change my belief based on evidence on above and my own feelings. I will not be in further communication with this practice, even though I am unfortunatly, still a regestered patient, as cannot regester in my local area, by past failure now a GMC case, they know that but refuse it true. This practice can refer to challenging Behaviour Practice, with a case against me, remove me from their list and/or request legal action against me, but they do not come near me themself for the harm they inflict upon me. NO REPLY to this here or by post, will be read, they are still blocked on my email & phone too, for my own protection from on-going, serious mental harm and PTSD Newbattle Medical Practice /they/here, inflict upon me as I physically decline and by appearance too. Thank You, Karen Kelly

Bullies it is sad when you have to cancel your email and phone nunber for the distress the practice causes. Long term health issues and those with complications, where online says emergency too, should not be left a week for an econsult with further infection, where they are breaching Patients Rights Act 2011 in safe area and removed phone appointments out of only abuse by them with no cause. They broke me down last week and for the very last time. They are toxic manipulators who ignored ECG's too and family history of heart issues, my health, and GMC policy too on many issues. I also learnt from Dr Aspinoll how NOT to be a doctor - thank you. They are bullies under definition of Equality Act 2010, not my opinion. Reception had no right to either make my feelings about her on my nhs ptsd, i told her was not perosonal to her. Shame on them....No contact them to me allowed from last week. I have had to block them, i don't have an accessible nhs gp but no care is better than toxic manipulative neglectful with intent, abuse. They can rightly have their opinions without seeing me based on those also not to see me in discrimination i reported a GP but i have evidence and my life, their opinion is not fact, but my evidence is. Places like Newbattle, give NHS a bad name. Too much to say, shame on Newbattle though....Bullies.....

I agree that the econsult being available only at certain times is annoying but it is far better than the 8am gamble with calls at every other GP. Being able to fill in my symptoms and getting a callback and booking an appointment on a day that works for me is very much appreciated. Every appointment I've had with a doctor or ANP has been handled effectively and with kindness. The reception staff have always been helpful and even when things haven't been as smooth, they have had a calm and collected response. I can't speak for other people but I would like to add this review amongst the negative reviews just to say that the hard work of the staff is appreciated.

I have experienced testing and varied issues this year that have required hospital, GP and nursing consultations and investigations. I have been pleasantly surprised of the benefits of e consult and the level of response. Not always getting a face to face consult but always getting a reply. The professionalism from both Doctors and nursing staff has been exemplary. My only negative NHS experience this year was a visit to A&E which resembled a war zone. So sorry for doctors and nurses.

I genuinely believe the practice are doing their very best in incredibly difficult circumstances with huge demand and limited resources. I know econsult isn't for everyone but I think it's a great system and I've always received a timely response. On the rare occasion that I can't find what I need on the website or through econsult/prescription request I've recently found the reception staff to be so friendly and helpful. Thank you so much, your hard work is appreciated.

Typical doctor surgery. Very clean. Reception staff are very help full polite and friendly.its a very busy practise with realy not enough doctors and nurses for the amount of patients it has to deal with.. trying to get an actual face to face appointment is very hard às they offer an online econsult service. Which can be a bit donting especially to people with no computer skills . Always told they are very busy but yet the waiting room. If always pretty much empty .

Very very hard to speak to anyone or get an appointment. We are talking 30mins+ waiting in queue on the phone any time you call. Econsult sometimes works - but if you miss the return call ( on the rare occasions you are called ) your only option is to try and phone and enjoy the hold music. Absolutely terrible, but unfortunately there is no other realistic option. EDIT: Updated as the service you get once you DO get through is fine - the main criticism is actually trying to get an appointment
