We were here for a weekend break in December, doing some Christmas shopping, and taking in a show at the playhouse theatre in Edinburgh. This hotel is ideally located for shopping, it's right next to a huge retail park. Also ideally located for commuting into Edinburgh, as there is a train station across the road from the hotel, Edinburgh Waverley is literally two stops away! Breakfast at the hotel was okay, but was really busy (but that could just have been down to timing). The hotel rooms are okay, but if I was going to be picky I'd say that they could do with some drawers for clothes, if you're staying for more than one night, you don't want to be living out of a suitcase. We would definitely stay here again. Oh and if you're looking for somewhere to eat, the food in the pub next door is delicious.

First thing to say is, it's the staff that really make this hotel, every member that we spoke to were so helpful and friendly, the rooms were very clean, you will see the odd mark on the walls/carpets , but it's more to do with the people staying there and not taking care, eg when making tea/coffee. Good breakfast selection . Also a good pub attached for food and drink.Location wise its yards from the A1 but not noisy, plenty of parking, no need to use your car as a very good bus service into the city, plus a railway station across the road, a train every half hour into the city which takes 10 minutes.we would be quite happy to stay again

I went in this hotel for 3 night for business. It's to expensive for what this hotel can offer and his position. Payd 1000 dollar in begin of October out of events can justify this price. No restaurants inside, just a room for breakfast ( not included in my price). Booking algorithm very efficient ? Worst thing they don't fix the room as default, you have to ask them every time. Room looks old but clean, little bit smelly probably because the moquette... Nice staff and very kind. Close to several restaurants and stores just 5 Min walking. Surely I will not be back for this price even if are company money, don't like waste money.

What a wonderful experience we had staying here. The staff are so warm, caring and went above and beyond for us. The buffet breakfast was fantastic and our room was cozy and clean, what more could you ask for! We will definitely be staying here again next time we’re in Edinburgh :)

We were quite disappointed with our stay here. We arrived early, and at that time a lady at reception was much friendlier and kindly told us we could use the pub toilet while waiting to check in. However, when we came back later to check in, the man at reception was not polite at all. He didn’t say anything, just asked us to wait and walked away with a piece of paper for a few minutes, leaving us confused and worried since we had already paid in full online. We booked 2 nights without breakfast for about £379, which is definitely not cheap, and we were traveling with a child, so this was quite stressful. When he finally came back, he only handed us the keys without saying a word or giving any explanation. It felt very unfriendly. Another unpleasant experience was with the pub next door. Although the hotel staff (the lady) had told us earlier that we could use the toilet there, the man who seemed to be the owner of the pub was very unhappy and told us we actually couldn’t because the pub and hotel are separate. I explained that the hotel staff told us to come, and then he reluctantly said we could use it, but his attitude made us feel very unwelcome. Strangely, the hotel room had the pub’s menu inside, so it seems they are connected in some way, which made the situation even more confusing. The next day, we still decided to have a meal at the pub to support local business, but when the same man saw us again, he looked displeased as if we were only there to use the toilet again. We strongly suggest that the pub clearly posts a sign stating that the toilet is for customers only to avoid confusion and prevent visitors from being treated rudely. The whole experience gave us a very poor impression and unfortunately ruined our first trip to Edinburgh.

Ideal location if travelling for work. Car parking could be a bit clearer to avoid parking penalties from the Health club next door.

Accidentally got dropped here at the wrong Premier Inn. Lisa on front desk was very helpful in trying to book me in, then working out what hotel I was supposed to be at, and finally keeping me company while I waited for my lift. Thanks for all the help. I made it in the end

Very nice staff, the hotel is next to Fort Kinnaird and a bus stop is right in front of it so it's quite easy to travel into Musselburgh or to Edinburgh. The room was very comfortable too.

Stayed here for a night , spacious room and clean , bed was comfortable and had all standard amenities. The USB port wasn’t working though, and there was only one port . There is a good pub and grill next door and Costa nearby

Stayed here whilst visiting Edinburgh. Convenient location for car travel. Only issues in past have been rooms backing onto the railway but have been lucky last few visits. Breakfast at the Cuddie Brae is made to order and pretty good.
