   This historic hotel is beautifully decorated, clean, and cozy. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located further away from the city center, but close to nature. We spent four nights at the hotel and were very satisfied.

   We held our Christmas night out at The Scott Hotel in Edinburgh and it was absolutely outstanding from start to finish. The staff were incredibly warm and friendly, and nothing was ever too much trouble – they truly went above and beyond to make the evening special. The venue itself is gorgeous, with beautiful Christmas touches that created such a festive and welcoming atmosphere. The food was excellent and the service was faultless throughout the night. I would definitely recommend The Scott Hotel for a private dinner, a Christmas party, or indeed any occasion where you want to be treated to exceptional food and outstanding service. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

   Just a wonderful experience. One of our favourite places to stay. The staff are friendly and attentive, the rooms are immaculate, the breakfast is devine, the location is perfect and the overall feel of the Scott is great. I hate telling people about it as I like to think of it as our secret.

   Great accommodation place in Edinburgh. I booked a regular room but I was upgraded to the Gatehouse and was even greater. The breakfast is excellent and very large. Walking distance to the historic center (for European walking standards) and just by the conference place I was attending.

   I was blown away with the hospitality, cleanliness, and overall comfortable and enjoyable stay we had. We met a gentleman that I assume works for the hotel who stopped and talked to my four year old about her paddington bear. When we returned to our room— there were printed paddington coloring sheets and an activity pack with colored pencils. She was thrilled. We needed to upgrade our room to a bigger one and the evening staff sorted it for us. The junior sweet was huge. Huge tub and walk in shower. Continuing, breakfast was a special treat— fill Scottish breakfast with another extremely present staff person. She even got my daughter hot chocolate and in her business bent down to toe her shoe. Truly the top hotel experiences I have ever had. Hope to be back. Thank you for everything.

   Stayed in the Jr suite, room was great, big bath walk in shower. Had a problem with the shower but was resolved quickly and staff were very accommodating and friendly. If you like walking doesn't take long maybe about 30mins to get to the Royal Mile and loads of pubs and restaurants on the way.

   Wonderful service, beautiful decor, and amazing food. Stayed here over December so the Christmas decorations were beautifully done, plus lovely festive music played subtly in the background of the main rooms. We would definitely return for another trip in future.

   Stayed one night here and it was lovely. The room and hotel had been recently refurbished and it looked really creative/high-end. The room was a little cosy but was really nice and comfortable. The bathroom (no bath) was spacious and very nice. The building itself had plenty of character and was lovely. The only negatives... Parking - although free, the hotel is located within the university campus and parking near the hotel was limited. The room appeared to have a room/climate control but didn't matter what the temperature was set to - didn't work. But overall I'd highly recommend this hotel.
