10/10 staying experience. Arrived on a Friday managed to park outside the hotel for free as it is no charge after 5:30pm. Staff were very friendly and attentive. The room was beautiful, and such a nice view of the park. Everything was clean and the bed was very comfy. Could hear the dj downstairs but that did not affect us. Was a 15/20 minute uber to the centre and a 25 minute walk. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Booked last minute as I didn't fancy getting the train home, this was in December so their STUNNING Christmas decorations were in place, absolutely gorgeous, as was our room that overlooked the meadows, huge, lovely bathroom and extremely comfy beds. Down stairs equally as impressive with the decorations and the bar/restaurant area had a great vibe. I'd recommend to anyone.

We had a lovely visit to The Ivy for high tea with friends. From the moment we arrived, we received a warm welcome, and the atmosphere was perfect for a relaxed afternoon together. A special mention goes to Joe, who gave us outstanding customer service. He was friendly, smiling throughout, and really helpful — he communicated clearly about our order and made sure everything was just right. The food was fresh and delicious, as always. Overall, a wonderful experience, and we’ll definitely be coming again.

Booked with a friend to go for Christmas drinks. Such a stunning space. Super interior decor and the christmas decorations were stunning. Service a little slow but pleasant staff. Loads of whisky, gin and other spirits to select from. Def recommend the bar to anyone. It's off the tourist track which makes it nice way to see a residential area.

The black ivy was overall one of the nicest hotels I ever stayed at. Firstly the service and every employee we met during our stay was welcoming and so kind. I’ve never felt so welcomed anywhere else. The service was really spectacular and they tried their best to make our stay as nice as possible. The rooms have a tasteful design. They are spacious, have everything you need and the view was so amazing! We were here in October and I could have stayed in the room just to enjoy the view all day! It is also just a 15-25 min walk to the city Centre and nearby there are a lot of cafès and pubs. We also had dinner in their restaurant and the food was delicious and the restaurant had a welcoming Ambiente. We will definitely visit again. Thank you to the team, that made our experience unforgettable!

Loved this beautiful restaurant. We went there a few days after Christmas. Big party of us. The restaurant was so beautifully decorated, the staff friendly and welcoming. Food was delicious. Definitely worth a visit. Will be back soon.

An amazing venue and a lot of effort on the decorations. I have been couple of times and probably I will be there many more. Mostly for brunch over weekends but also for Christmas dinner. I had a variety of options for brunch but mostly I will recommend the Benny's stack. Very good combination of flavours and interest spin of the classic version, more Scottish. The pancake are good as well, but for my standards are a bit greasy, possible cooked with butter. Burgers are great as well and you may want to give a try on the breakfast skillet. In general the food is good, but it is missing "something". To break down my rating: 3/5 food, 5/5 venue

We were attracted by the lovely Christmas lights decoration. The atmosphere is very nice, it's a pub where you can watch sports, enjoy food with family, listen to music (they have live shows on Fridays and Saturdays) or enjoy a drink. We did the later, having a very nice mulled cider, with the mood of Christmas lights.

Lovely Christmas 3 course festive lunch. Beautifully decorated hotel/ restaurant. Food was tasty and piping hot, served by friendly staff. Would definitely recommend and will be back in January.

We have unfortunately stayed in this hotel for 5 nights. We stayed on the first floor just above the bar downstairs. We give one star because of several reasons: 1. The hotel is mainly a bar. Each day we needed to suffer loud music and people yelling from downstairs. 2. On the weekend the music didn't stop even after 12am. We have barely slept that night. 3. The window was isolated poorly. we've heard the wind shrieking through it, and it got cold very fast. When we showed the staff that issue, they told us that all the rooms are like that, a claim we cannot really prove, and that they will check what they can do. They didn't return to us with anything. In addition, parts of the window were actually taped to the frame, I guess because of the same reason. 4. One of the doors to the hotel was defective and slammed very hard to the wall each time of use. We woke up at 5am because of that and were really irritated during the night. 5. We've asked the staff twice to fix the door but they haven't done anything. 6. Some part of the staff weren't so welcoming. 7. the hotel doesn't have an elevator, and they didn't help us to take up (fitst day) and down (last day), the suitcases. The saddest part is that we paid quite a lot and didn't even get a proper place to sleep. Food was good but it doesn't really change anything if you barley sleep at night.
