The Tweeddale Arms hosted our Cricket Club awards dinner. The food and service were simply fantastic. Great country establishment. A wee gem!
We had our end of season dinner there and the staff at the Tweeddale were fantastic and accommodating to our requirements. Food was great and we’ll definitely be back.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Outstanding night at the Tweedale Arms, Gifford! We held the Goblin Ha Cricket Club awards night at the Tweedale Arms last night, and the whole evening was fantastic from start to finish. The team went over and above to make sure everything ran perfectly — the food was top-notch, the service was spot on, and the hospitality was second to none. Nothing was too much trouble, and you could really tell how much pride they take in looking after their guests. Everyone had a brilliant time, and it’s safe to say we’ll definitely be back. Huge thanks to all the staff for making it such a memorable night!
We didn't stay the night but had lunch in the bar. The food was great, fresh chicken goujons that were perfectly crispy and a tasty lentil soup. 5 star food!
Popped in here after a schlep around the Yester estate, it's warm, cosy, has a very welcoming and friendly team and we enjoyed our huge meal, i mean the portions were huge, in the end we shared a knickerbocker glory between 4 as we were stuffed. I really loved the liver and chorizo pate, haddock and scampi were great and the macaroni had a lovely rich sauce, so we'll be back.
Always booked to go to the golf tavern as we have family in haddington when I tried to book their were no rooms but offered myself and husband their other place which is the tweedle Arms if I had seen the place I would never have booked their it was run down it had a really bad smell now we had a voucher for the golf tavern they were quite happy to accept that also they would upgrade us to their superior room I was very disappointed when they charged me for this although they upgraded us so very disappointed will not return to either of their establishments .
What a shame and slap on the face of Expedia to have such a rubbish and cheap remote place property on their platform. I came around 11 pm and journey was not less than putting anyone’s life at risk. Do not put your property to expedia or such platforms and you are not worth it. I kept knocking 30 minutes to 40 minutes no one opened the door and you still call 4 star. Wow what a joke! I will never give a single star and refund my money and don’t play with people life. No one attends phone, no help and left helpless in the middle of no where and then again I put my life into risk and drove to Newcastle airport and stayed in another hotel. Called this morning and explained to Colin who picked up phone finally. Refund my money and take off yourself from all platforms and you are only suitable for local public or one who is working in the area but definitely not travelers. Don’t know where you have collected all these doggy reviews. Such places worth cursing and not blessed places. Dangerous and horrible and frightening experience of my life!
I love this hotel. The rooms are great, the lounge utterly charming, the breakfast good. So much better than the competition in Gifford! Excellent value too.
The hotel is in the lovely village of Gifford in East Lothian. The hotel sits on the village square, and is directly across from the local park and woodland area. The hotel staff were friendly and welcoming. The room came with a large fan that was most welcome given the heatwave. We travelled with our dog who allowed in our room and public bar. We left him in room when we went for breakfast and he accompanied us to bar for our evening meal. The hotel is 30 minutes from Edinburgh and likewise from North Berwick, so is ideally suited for exploring a beautiful part of Scotland.
