Had a lovely time in Edinburgh and although we didn’t spend a lot of time at the hotel its functional and very central and within good walking distance of a lot of the major tourist spots. What we really liked was the service provided. I had a minor issue but I had a quick solution from the hotel team. It was my nephew’s birthday and it was casually mentioned to Shabana and when we later came back to the hotel there was a card and gift. Shabana also mentioned to us how to get around and what to see so very helpful. Its these touches that make all the difference so thank you for making our stay great.

Room was a little old but still very comfortable to stay in. The location in particular was really fantastic; we really appreciated the flat road to and from Edinburgh Waverley which you certainly wouldn't get if you lived in the Old Town area! Lots of food options around the hotel. Great service and staff were always happy to help with queries.

Pleasantly surprised by the size of our double room with a huge comfy bed. Cleanliness was something to be desired, needs a lick of paint to be honest. We asked for our room to be cleaned as we found a number of issues but they only came and cleaned the shower head and left the rest of the room as it was. On a positive the "all you can eat " breakfast in the "BAR AND BLOCK" was superb , our evening meal one of the best steaks I've ever had to be honest. The staff at the "Bar and Block" were super friendly and couldn't do enough for us especially PAUL, top guy and went above and beyond for us.

the room was quite run down. Perhaps cause I was on the 2st floor? But the room could have been cleaner. Much much much cleaner. Everything else was great. The restaurant they have downstairs is great for every meal..staff is friendly and very helpful. Reception is smooth and the location is central.

It was a very pleasant one week stay. The staff are helpful & accommodating. Their rooms are reasonable with their size. The beds are very comfy. A better work though can be done with the cleaning & room arranging. The place clearly lacks the staff for room service & cleaning despite their efforts. Small details are left undealt with in the rooms at times. If not mentioned then its not done due to the heavy load I feel. Overall however....I would repeat it again : ).

Quite nice honestly and in a great location just near all attractions and so many shops close by. Down side only is that their internet is unreliable and almost no phone signal in the room. Also the room window doesn't open, and there is no actual view, just a blurred window and ventilation is relatively weak. Room service didn't change the sheets or pillow covers when we requested cleaning which is a bit odd. Beds are comfortable tho. We were in a twin room. Overall it was a good experience for a decent price. I recommend booking directly through their website.

Simply stayed one night in the city. We went with a premier plus room and the allocation saw us allocated a second floor room with a splendid view of the castle high above Princes St. Marvelous. Or so it seemed... We spent the evening out, then back to the room at 11pm. We got into bed and then we clocked the noise. Every tram, train, bus, taxi went shuddering past the ill-fitted, seemingly poorly insulated window/doors and that was it for the night. Terrible sleep. Bit of respite 3-4am when transport shuts down somewhat... Headache, grumpy all the next day. Top tip - be pleased when you get an internal room.

It’s a good hotel to stay with one of the best proximity to the major sightseeing spots. Also the place is well maintained lightly pricy but in that location most of hotels are even higher and this hotel is a great deal compared to others. But recommend to book from their website as the rates are almost 50% rather than book at the hotel. Also the food is good and staff is excellent. Overall a good choice as all the major bus and tramps and even the train station Waverley is the closest of all all are in walking distance and have all the major stops in front of the hotel.

If you want comfort, service, friendly staff and really comfy pillows , stay here. We booked in for new year period, top floor overlooking princes street and the castle. It’s perfectly placed for shopping, exploring with the train station 5 minutes down the road (well maybe 10) , trams and buses. They don’t automatically clean your room everyday unless you ask, but there is someone on reception 24/7 and they will get you supplies and/or get your room cleaned upon request. There is security to ensure only people staying at hotel can access the rooms via the lifts. The view from the room in the 31st December was amazing… there is no parking but there is a discount on NCP parking, with this hotel . Would definitely stay here again on any further trips to Edinburgh

Excellent location for exploring Edinburgh. We had a fairly decent view too. The staff are all really friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfy and spacious, and you ha e everything you need. The breakfasts are good and there seems to be a decent selection of evening meals, even some you can take up to your room! It will certainly be our first choice whe we return.
