The Alexandria Lidl is fairly new and it seemed to have a few teething issues but it's getting there. I like and get along with the staff and I like the products so I'm a regular. Smaller carry baskets would be a good additionto accompany the trolly or those super deep pull along baskets which are crazy big

Great for offers and the app. Availability a bit sketchy recently, went in for free bakery item at opening, no bakery products out, somebody can't order pepsi max 8 pack, pallet always empty, till service generally ok, although the cashier couldn't be bothered serving one time and was too busy talking to her colleague in booze aisle whilst a few customers were waiting.

Continuously closing before 10pm. They have replaced all their experienced staff with new hires. Is it Lidl policy to only have one till opened at a time? Even when there’s 6+ customers queuing past the belt? Staff look unmotivated and lazy bar a few. I did attempt to have a conversation in regards to this with one of the managers but he didn’t stop talking long enough to listen to me. He was very defensive.

Lidl in Castle Street, Dumbarton is a great Lidl. It's a very well stocked,well-run,organised,clean,plenty of parking and great views literally right outside the store of the vale of Leven.

This is a very nice Lidl. The car park is huge and the shop is clean, bright and well stocked. I made the mistake of going to Aldi Alexandria after my first time at this branch of Lidl as I'm new to the area, I won't be going back there ever again. I will however be returning to this branch of Lidl as it was a very pleasant place to shop. Why 4 stars? Because there were a few basic items that weren't on the shelves so I had to go elsewhere as well which wasn't convenient. There was also a beggar outside the front door which isn't a good look.

Why does Lidl have self-serve checkouts then block them off? See photo today (Dec 29 5.20pm) 2 out of 3 times I’ve been in it’s closed. February 2023 update: Once again the self serve section is closed early evening. This time I asked a member of staff why. “Short staffed” they replied. C’mon Lidl, why don’t you employ more people at night?

Used to shop here every day. Now it rarely has any stock of its already very limited selection, and there's never more than one checkout open despite queues of trolleys up the aisles. The self scan hasn't been available for months, and even when it was available, every third item had an issue and there was no dedicated staff to assist you so you hung about waiting for the one checkout operator to finish with a customer. Literally the slowest supermarket in town; there are five and this one is the only one you have to queue at. It can take 40mins just to nip in for milk.

Sometimes it's difficult to find a price for things because they're in the wrong areas, not customers putting them there by accident, but entire cases of things with the wrong ticket above them. A bit annoying and stops me buying certain things because I've no idea how much they are. My usual items are all good, and I still go every week, staff all nice.
